Hadn't seen her around in a while but her departure from the servers a few months ago (I assumed because she was too busy with a new job) was one of the reasons I started playing less. She was maybe my favorite because of her sense of humor and we could talk a little hockey too. Worse still I was going to message her a few weeks ago to see how she was doing. Maybe she never would've seen it or it wouldn't have mattered, but now I got that thought stuck in my head. Like maybe someone who is bad shape, they get a message and realize someone out there is thinking of them. Maybe events change or something. Fuck. RIP, L. I hope your spirit is unburdened now and in a better place. Thanks to you guys who were in touch with her family closer to the event and sent flowers, etc. Class moves and the right thing to do. |

Just wish I could talk to her one more time. Was looking forward to razzing her about the Dallas Stars at the draft, to see how her job was going. I wonder if something bad happened there. Sometimes the financial stress of losing a job or whatnot. Nothing is easy these days. Everything gets more expensive all the time, etc.
Wish we'd lived closer, could've taken her out for a beer and maybe cheered her up or something. I dunno... just rambling now. Life is cruel sometimes. Doesn't make sense. |
