not true. you can add and remove stuff from ur mac, not by urself unless you know how to break the aluminum case. and theres plenty to o with a mac. and theres more than just toast!... o and theres different proccesors and cards for macs also you choose when you buy.

Anyway, I got a friend at work. He has a Mac.
There are 3 main differences between the Mac and the PC.
1) Macs, because of their firmware, are less prone to get viruses.
2) Macs are best at video editing and sound editing, they are the computer of choice at most Arts colleges.
Those are the only advantages of a Mac.
Now for the big one:
3) PC's OWN ON THE GAMING FRONT!!! Think back to when pc games first came out. It was almost impossible to get any games for the Mac. Even my friend at work said his son has a
PC FOR GAMING CAUSE THE MAC WON'T CUT IT.
PC's are the best for gaming. ALWAYS HAVE BEEN, ALWAYS WILL BE!!!

Well said Rambo. But Macs lack of virus problems isn't really because of their firmware. The useless losers who write viruses want to hit as many computers as possible so they go after PC's. They want to get noticed, hear about it in the news and so on. If they wrote something to attack a Mac no one would ever hear about it or care. It's like the software companies, they want to make money (like many companies) so they make stuff for PC'S first and then they waste time making it for Mac.

As far as ending the great debate, that will never happen because Mac users will never admit that they bought an inferior, electronic turd. Maybe we shouldn't ridicule them, but should pity them instead.

yes I agree this is fun........ and rambo is correct. school us macs now. and I agree they cant game very well. Unless you get ( dont remmber the model, its a tower tho) it can game retty hardcore.

I only have windows on my mac because of my school, and my parents e-bay buisness. thats the only reason and we rarley use it for other things.

also forgot...... many major bands, film groups use macs for videoediting and music editing like rambo said..... garage band and i movie are wonderful tools!

We have Macs at my school also. They are so stinking slow (with only 384mb of RAM) that Word has actually caused them to freeze so bad that they had to be rebooted. I remember one time a kid was loading word and at the end of the hour when the bell rang word had finally started up.

I have never seen a mac run that slow..... any program I load come up withing 5 seconds ready to use... unlike windows it takes ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would be due to your mac being a new one that has an Intel Core 2 Duo, at about 3ghz... after all those years of mac users ripping on intel and claiming intel cpu's to be inferior to their motorola and PowerPC crap cpu's.
The Macs made since the core 2 duo are 90% pc and 10% mac, running a form of UNIX with a mac skin on the GUI. The reason they are so popular with artists is obvious, they have little-to-no logic they know little or nothing about computers and with a mac, they don't have to get confused by CHOICES.

And lets face it, It is difficult to choose between things that are completely unknown to you. I think having very few choices, beyond case style and color, probably increases the pull on the non-thinkers ("If I buy a Mac, I don't have to learn OR think, just click (and pay thru the nose.) YIPPIE!!!")
