i felt nice this morning and decided id tell you all how to make a namescript.
1) open notepad 2) ill show you an example of what one of mine looks like name Tom_Morello wait 10 name Ronald McFondled wait 10 you write something like that onto your notepad and save it with a name like script.cfg remember to put the .cfg at the end when you save it. the wait thing only goes down to 5 i think and 5's the fastest after youve done this you go into your cod folder and put this file into the main folder the folder is actually called main than ingame you just type into your console /exec script.cfg or whatever you named it or you can type /bind p exec script.cfg so you dont have to type it everytime. if you have any problems or questions PM me or post here oh ya and it doesnt have to have 2 names it can just be one name but u still need the wait part |

This is what I did. I found it much easier and a lot more simple then Tom's, but hey whatever works for you. Please try to refrain from using it in-game and only in the score board at the end of the match. The founders don't like it. For some odd reason, if your computer is a shitty on(i.e. my labtop) if you execute it and your computer can't handle running both CoD and the namescript your game will crash and may have to reopen CoD.
*DISCLAIMER* I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY POINT LOSS IN-GAME. USE THIS SCRIPT AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. STEP 1.Go to you UO folder([XP Only]My Computer>Hardrive>Program Files>Call of Duty>UO) and locate uoconfig_mp. STEP 2.Right Click uoconfig_mp and select Copy. Right click on some white space in the window and select paste STEP 3.Right Click the newly made copy and rename it. Make sure there are no spaces in the name. I would use [EW]. STEP 4.Right Click once more and Open the file with Notepad or Wordpad. You should see some text included inside. Delete the text until it is clear. Then what you want to do is type set name ^1[EW]Elder Warriors[EW] wait 50 set name ^2[EW]Elder Warriors[EW] wait 50 set name ^3[EW]Elder Warriors[EW] wait 50 set name ^4[EW]Elder Warriors[EW] wait 50 set name ^5[EW]Elder Warriors[EW] wait 50 set name ^6[EW]Elder Warriors[EW] wait 50 set name ^7[EW]Elder Warriors[EW] wait 50 set name ^8[EW]Elder Warriors[EW] wait 50 set name ^9[EW]Elder Warriors[EW] It should look exactly this. set name= what name it will change wait XX=how much you have to wait until the next name change. STEP 5. Save the file and open up CoD. Open up your (~)console and type in /bind F3 exec [EW] STEP 6. Go in one of the [EW] servers and hit F3. It should execute the bind. STEP 7. Party like a rock, party like a rockstar. Now that you have made your first bind you can make more and test it out! If you want to change your name without manually having to do so after the name roll, type in console(~) /bind F4 name NAMEHERE. You can obviously change F4 to whatever key you prefer.THIS WILL ONLY WORK ON NAMES WITHOUT SPACES. If your name includes spaces follow up to Step 3. Do the same as you would in step 4 but DO NOT type in the bind listed above. What you do want to type in is set name NAMEHERE. I would also recommend you rename the file to something other then [EW] or the game will get mixed up with your name bind and the name roll. Let's make it name1 After that open CoD up and type in console /bind F4 exec name1 Now its time to do STEP 7. xXBlItZXx |

I know a little bit, tom knows alot about this subject. Send em a p.m.
Also, there is a namescript forum on here somewhere. If someone were to just post their namescript on here so all you have to do is copy/paste into notepad, edit the info, and save the file as name1.cfg, etc then the hard part 1 is done. Then you just have to bind a key to "exec name1" so you press the key you bound and voila, your name has just changed.

Or if your me you can type something like /bind p exec *whatever you named it*.cfg Try to make it one name because its annoying if it isnt. Tom out, good luck |

where it says this:
name "^2G^3o^4o^5d ^6G^7a^8m^9e" did you type this?: [EW]Reed "^2G^3o^4o^5d ^6G^7a^8m^9e" If you did that is your problem. In the example the 'name' is a command to the game. It tells the game to use the name ^2G^3o^4o^5d ^6G^7a^8m^9e. This script Tom posted changes from your name to flash 'goodgame'. ![]()

reedman09 wrote: it looks for a command first (such as seta) and your name is not it. in the file ew.cfg put seta name "my name here" the structure is command variable value (very much like) verb noun adjective think of your name as an adjective describing the noun name, after the verb seta. if you would post the content (copy&paste) of the ew.cfg file for us, we can solve this for you. from your last post, I guess that ew.cfg lacks the command and variable seta name
