Originally in 2007 when the clan was born, ECU was ESU (Elite Snipers Unit) where good snipers would be recruited to our clan, and teams on CS: 1.6 would have us as valuable assets, employed as snipers. From then, the clan slowly broke up, it started losing it's skill in sniping, and ESU was disbanded. Soon after, it was renamed ECU (Elite Combat Unit) so the name would not be restricted to just snipers. It was very slow at first, and once again was disbanded.

Finally, ECU was recently re-established once more on the 6th of April, 2009 initially for CS:S. Eventually, it branched to DoD:S which is now our primary game. Since then, one server has been created for DoD:S, with talks of a CS:S server arriving soon. Because of two separate re-establishments, ECU lost its original members, but is rebuilding once more.

ECU (or ESU) was a clan that was initially not open to public recruits; instead, only known players were able to be recruited. Now, ECU recruits anybody from anywhere.

No no it's true Darce:P me n Jordy were ESU cos we were good snipers, then we came shit and we changed it to ECU cos we didn't want to be snipers anymore:D honestly, we were really good snipers then we couldn't be bothered anymore. Servers recognised us and we sniped for our team on CS, and yeah. But then it changed to ECU and there's your story
