I don't believe that it's because of the new Rail since it has no essential new things that haven't been there already in the last version.

I think thats not true. I manage a lot of Windows servers and if you do correctly things which have to be done, the windows server is exactly same stable as linux. The only thing which sucks with windows is needed restart for a lot of security installations every month....but the stability is same. With stupid application or hardware problem, you can kill both linux and windows in few seconds...
