Roger, and by the way where can I find the "portalzone" texture?
And if you have some time, then let's move on to... connection of teleporters, it has to do something with... um... URL and teleporter name or I don't know. Also I guess it can be "teached" or "refreshed" quickly so also let's move on to weapon lockers/weapon pickups/ and other pickups including ammo.

You know, there are things about map editing you can find out just by studying exising maps on your own - you really ought to try that a bit too. Even I know how to setup and tweak lockers and pickups.

Oh, I'm sorry for being sooo noobish lol I didn't think of that >_< But now I looked on some maps and found out how to place all those pickyups. And as maybe Crusha said?: an amateur mapper copies things from maps. lol.

I maybe get myself some inspiration and look how things are done, but I don't copy things directly.

The only exception might be, if I take something that is only in a myLevel of a retail-map, but not in any of the packages.

And always try to place a sunlight-actor in the skybox or otherwise the light doesn't lit BSP in other zones.

The skyboxes on Techcom are not very complex, but at least some use some small effects, like clouds.




Currently I am btw really into the UScript-stuff and will edit the script of SuperApes SuperVehicleFactory to work with ONS.
The result shall give a mapper more control over the vehicle-balance, for example the following featurs are included already:
-The factory is set to one team that owns it, so it spawns only vehicles for that team, independent from a node.
-Automatic assault-turrets can be spawned and assigned to the specific team.
-A vehicle from a list of possible vehicles is spawned randomly by the factory.
-The factory triggers an event when the vehicle is spawned and x seconds before too.

What I want to include is:
-Teams shall be switched when the sides are swapped (currently they don't, the thing was created to enable vehicles in non-vehicle-gamemodes).
-The factory shall be dependent from the closest node in terms of spawning vehicles and assigning the team.
-It should be possible to create a spawn-list for each team individually, so one team could get an EONS Paladin, the other one just a normal one. Or to give one team an additional vehicle more at a node, while the other one doesn't get one extra.
-It should be possible to trigger the factory enabled and disabled.
