Beneath A Steel Sky. Whoever wants can post a new screenshot (any new player is welcome).

I gotta say, I'm a bit puzzled by lilalurl's simultaneous interest in participating in such a random, casual, back-alley competition at a smallish ONS community somewhere on the web and disinterest in joining to do so himself, thereby submitting by proxy :s. That is all, carry on.

I will ease your mind by explaining then.

I check this forum from time to time, mainly for the mapping area, to see new things released, modifications, etc....

Similarily, I check and/or am registered on several UT2004-related forums (usually with a low post counts).

As for the screenshot competition:
1) I take part, depending on how much free time I have, in a similar competition on a forum dedicated to Amiga computers.

2) I had spotted this thread a while ago when checking this forum. The bookmark I saved for this forum is http://www.gametracker.com/clan/freelancer/ . The page contains a short list of recent forum posts and therefore, when I checked the forum a few days ago, I saw it had been recently updated.

Additionally, I saw that it was on a stalemate, with Crusha asking for either the solution or another screenshot.

I had no problem identifying the game that I played on Amstrad CPC.

3) Therefore I thought of helping the thread moving forward.
As Crusha is registered on Titan, the simplest thing to do was to send him a PM with the answer, so that he ccould play next or whoever wanted to take the turn would have a go.

4) Besides, I am currently on holidays and don't go online regularily, sometimes not connecting for several days.

If you combine this with the fact that I don't check this forum daily, giving a screenshot to guess while not being sure how long it would be until I check the thread again to say if answers are correct or wrong and, if needed, additional hints, would likely result in slowing the competition pace than anything else.

Hence my submitting by proxy.

However, I decided to register:

a) for giving you an answer. Happy?

b) for future times when I would have something to post on this forum, I will no longer need to bother Crusha.

c) more importantly, to give another correct answer. Which means I have given one more than you did. How could I resist the pleasure to bother you?

My holiday plans for next week are not defined yet so once again I offer my turn in case I go away to a remote place without Internet access.

Oh my, it seems I now have some competition for the longest post submitter race here too!

Well, either that or just sign up for yourself so in the future you could participate in the compo again or in any other conversation here! Helps the community expand, plus it's... wait, let's hold that one off for the end >:].

Ugh, I can sympathize, being stuck with dialup and a slow comp for the past few weeks myself (that's the point of vacation, I'm told :/). I suppose the delays would be comparable if you were to provide a push every so often by yourself or through observing and PMing Crusha instead, but either way, it's all good; this ain't exactly an urgent topic anyway.

Ditto. Only difference in my case is, I rarely bother to even register, but I do lots of lurking whenever I remember to.

Ecstatic! I mean, it's... no, wait, let's hold that one off for the end >:].

Heh, consider me fuming and frothing from all possible places now .

Anyways, I'm glad the ancient lurker prodding method bore fruit and made you decide to register; welcome to our humble little ONS corner!

PS: It's lilalurl \o/!
PPS: No, that wasn't auto-scripted.
PPPS: PPP, lulz.

So, if nobody wants then it's my turn:

It's a free online-game… both things you see are my creation.

In nominate Pegasus . This way, he won't be able to answer his own riddle. I could therefore get a chance to get one more correct guess, all things that will make him "fuming and frothing from all possible places" .

In case he doesn't want to, I will have more free time on Thursday or Friday and hence could post my own screenshot.

I think I don't need to say that it's correct with such material to prove it.

Sorry for the delay, I've been kinda busy lately, plus the visual update GT pulled 3-4 days ago played absolute havoc with my browser, turning IE6-hostile n' all and making every page in the domain almost unbrowseable. After upgrading to IE8 on this comp I'm good for now, but we'll see.

I'll cheat a bit by starting with a screenshot whose point of view can only be accessed as a bonus option (and probably cheat code)
But people who know the game should recognize it.

Anyway, I will post another screenshot, from the normal POV this time, tomorrow if nobody has guessed until then.

Is that Shadowgrounds?

I really liked it, too bad it ended so fast and from a certain point you were just too powerful. And it really drives me sick when you don't have in the end enough points to get at last every upgrade for a weapon.
