This map is also on ceons ...

I've never seen many players on this map, the max was 4 players only. I don't think it's a popular map.

I played it with more than 10 players:

The map design itself is quite nice. But I believe it is too large and too messy to provide good gameplay as it is right now.

A smaller proportion of the map (one fourth or one half) would make a very interesting map for matches with a low/medium player count.

Perhaps with time and people learning the map it could be better. But from what I have played people spend more time trying to guess where to go rather than anything else.
Of course, flying vehicles are at much more an advantage than the others.

As far as I remember, jumppads lacked emitters so it was hard to clearly see them from a distance and more importantly to know where they lead you. Perhaps replacing them with some "trail" jumppads (like in Hustle) would be a good start.

Perhaps also placing arrows here and there to show the way to other nodes (like the arrows on the vehicle lifts on Echo103) could be useful.

Didn't took me 5 minutes to get into the concept of the map and then it was easy. It's also not too big, the size is excellent for all kinds of playercounts.

And there are emitters for the jumppads, afair.

All you need to find the Nodes are the radar map and the beams that go to the sky (that's why they exist after all).

Flying vehicles would take some kind of magic out of this map, there are already many ventilators to lift up Mantas and humans so that they are like flying vehicles.

Well, maybe there was one day 15 players.

But My question is : how much leave the server when the map is chosen ?

Foibos put this map before, but it didn"t work.

Why not try this map again, I could have totally wrong.

However, if we see that too many players leave the sever, we will face the facts ...

I up this thread because i found some interresting maps, i think.

ONS-Naturaleza Artificial: A natural map, must be adapted for 32 players, looks nice. http://www.mapraider.com/maps/?fileid=4407

ONS-Caelum: A map in space which mix flying battle and ground battle. Concept is good. http://www.mapraider.com/maps/?fileid=3104

ONS-Uallyr: An NV map. Quite big (the same size as bridge, near). Looks fun. http://www.mapraider.com/maps/?fileid=2742

ONS-Desolate: A mix between Minus and Nevermore. Maybe it can be good in TMU. http://www.mapraider.com/maps/?fileid=1883

ONS- UnionStation: An other NV map. I particurlarly appreciate the concept. http://www.mapraider.com/maps/?fileid=2027

You need to keep an eye on the maximum player count. All except one of your propositions are flagged as maximum 16 or 18 players. Techcom needs maps that are suitable for 32p gameplay, or did you test those maps with 32 and can confirm that it's not a spammy hell on any of them?

you know I'm on of the biggest advocates of NV maps on here, but those look like crap seriously.

only ONS-Desolate is suitable for our server, I even think I played it on some server a year ago or so! The map is very foggy and there are plenty more places to hide than on Minus or Nevermore - thus I don't see what that map shall contribute to TC? I mean sure ppl will like it as soon as they have their }o{-stuff or some goliaths, but as you already said it's very similar to those maps we already have! we have two versions each of minus and nevermore, 3 of those are mostly instantly voted when they are available...
I foresee Crusha won't like another one of those spammy maps x)
me neither tbh, but we gotta think big picture here....
in fact, those tank-based maps attract more players and especially those with "lower" skill - cuz once in a tank they too can kill guys and get some fun...
and i understand that on other maps they get easily frustrated b/c they get killed over and over again...

if I understand foibos right, his main criterion is to fill the server... and whether we like it or not, tankspam-maps fill the server.

maybe we can get a nice compromise by increasing the tank respawn time! this way once a team focuses on taking down a tank camper, they are "safe" for at least a couple of minutes (90-120secs), meaning everybody lives longer and is less likely to ragequit.

I tested these maps with 31 bots and there are my results:

ONS-Naturaleza Artificial: Nice gameplay. Although it needs to be adapted for 32 players, it's an interresting map. Can be played on the server, that's my mind.

ONS-Caelum: Needs to be adapted for 32 players. I'm waiting for your minds.

ONS-Uallyr: Bad. With 31 bots you have the same lag than in SavoIsland but more often and more longer.

ONS-Desolate: TMU ? (to be honest, i don't like TMU, but for the majority of the players....). Besides, it can be played "not-TMU", of course.

ONS-UnionStation: Too spammy.

PS: Crusha, Bridge is for 8-12 players. With 30 players it's a spammy hell.... but i like it

Caelum idea is interresting, but it becomes the second AirMars after adding the flying vehicles necessary for bigger load of players (and we found the AirMars annoying). Naturleza is cute and maybe it's worth to edit it (there are 3 ways to core) - filling the weaponlockers, wisely add some vehicles (especially into the base), even the hoverboards can be used (it sucks to run into the hill), adding the starting points.

But I'd prefer editing other map, more original than the others: The ToonCounty (new vehicles can be used). Could you do it? Or VK*? Crusha is too busy and it would be nice to have it, finally.

I send a message to the author of Naturaleza to know if i can edit.
If you want us to edit ToonCountry you should do the same. Find his email address in the read me.

Personnally i find ToonCountry interresting. Would be fun.
But i want to give a chance to Naturaleza too. Since i am pretty busy actually, i can't edit both, or maybe if you want wait.
