Ahh, how refreshing it is to see what short memories some of you have. No, really, it's a gift since you're sheltered from looking back through all of TechCom's lifespan and remembering all those trolls that made chattting there so... special? From linke's "thats hot?" 50 times a day to Amy's whining to king's gloats to wlad picking up where linke left off to madmax'es "noop team" that got him banned to Heka's persistent audio taunting to madmax'es return with fresse suggestions to mufone's score obsession and "fotze" trolling (lulz) to Frank vs. the mongol squad "debates" to Funny's complaints about lag or ppl taking his tank every time he loses to TEXT's laming and aaaanything else before, later or in-between that I'm forgetting now... wow! I need a painkiller just recounting what comes to mind right now :/. And if you're starting to see a pattern revolving around most ppl with "ger" at the end of their nicks, you just might be on to something there! My sympathies to heinz for that :p.

Thing is, their chats are usually so much more to the point and uneventful because they don't have obnoxious morons, whiners and team-sabotaging newbs to contend with, so they can focus on actually playing it right, coordinating over voice/chat and get the most out of their game. In the end, I'm not entirely convinced what server has it better when it comes to game experience, but at least, unlike those pompous, UTAN-parading, Epic-ass-kissing blowhards, I can play on TechCom with my pirate serial just fine.

Indeed. You forgot Pegasus' "it's lilalurl"

I remember the "that's hot" guy, who was very bothersome.
I think he ended quickly in the ignore list.

Actually it's pretty ironic to call Imageshack a serious server. Right, that's the only one I know where you can be sure that your images will stay for half an eternity, but it's so slow when you are not in the USA and that's why many European boards prefer to attach images to post instead of slowing down the whole page while loading.

But since we don't have an acceptable alternative we'll have to stay with that.

Your pictures: Great, just your textures look like mud.

Umm, those are the same textures that everyone sees on those maps, man. What, are they different for you?

Btw, is anyone else getting slow browser response when they view the part of this page with Foibos' various pics? I'm starting to think GT's new pic thumbnailing script is doing something intensively stupid the way it's written :/.

Mud in context of textures always refers to the resolution. It would totally kill the atmosphere for me if I'd had to look at such textures all the time. I'd rather reduce other details before doing such critical things.

And yeah, I get the problem too when scrolling alone Foib's post, but only once, so I guess it needs some time until the pics are cached. Then it works fine… except that my whole Windows just freezed for 20 seconds while I was writing this…

But the thumbnails take very long to load. It feels like they are loaded at full resolution and then rescaled.
