I just found this edited version of the original by King Mango and the Omnis somewhere and have of course absolutely no clue about who did that edit.
As far as I can perceive it, this map seems to have the following changes to the one we play on Techcom: -There are no changes in the number and kind of vehicles, if I can recognize that correctly. -The core has a different position and some turrets around it, so it will probably not be possible to kill it from far away with air-vehicles and also a Mino would have to get closer. That was truly something that really bothered me in this map and it's nice to see it fixed. -Luckily I could spot the missing location-names, so it would be much easier to coordinate your team on this huge map. -There seem to be some differences in the zoning of the map and also some performance-optimizations with anti-portals and the terrain. -Since I have an EAX-capable soundcard, I couldn't come around to notice that the special sound-effects in materials and zones seem to be used. -Also I was happy to hear a sound from the fireplaces finally and also to see that one fire, which had always annoyed me with it's absence when playing the map, finally there. And the best thing is, that the map is available with a size of 12.67 MB at my favourite filehoster. Of course I downloaded it immediately when I saw it today, so what are you waiting for? ![]() |
