1. The game is 15+
I think that by the age of 15, most kids know a whole bunch of swear words. If 11-year olds play this game and learn swear words from it and parents complain about it, they should have checked the game box of the game their kids are playing.

2. Randomness
Most censored words are in English, but a lot of players don't speak English on the server and can swear all they want in their language (although some words are banned in other languages, but nothing in French for example).

3. The swear filter is easily bypassed
You can just say sh1t or sh!t instead of shit.

4. Cultural differences regarding freedom of speech
In the US, swear words get censored, but people like neo-nazis etc. can spread their ideology without getting censored. In Europe, it's the other way around. Neo-nazis and their organisations get prosecuted here, but swear words aren't much of a problem. They usually don't get censored in songs etc.
This is a European server, with hardly any yanks playing on it, so it should by our rules.

So, stop censoring swear words, but I wouldn't mind keeping some nazi-related and pornographic words censored.

Swearing is often annoying, many words are banned in other languages too (german, italian, romanian...). It's interresting, that the players are often lazy to bypass the filter, maybe the custom words don't look as they want. The filter is imo useful and necessary, especially because of agressive noobs.

I don't like it when people exaggerate like that either, but one can always block whatever agressive noobs say.

I think filter is good idea, and its rather fun to see ***** instead of swear.
