The processor load is around 30 % with the full server. We can talk about some hardware improvements for better performance, if you have an idea.

Current configuration:

Well, I think that some of our lag problems can be solved by more powerful hardware. My suggestion is:

CPU Intel Core i5-680
MB Intel DH57DD
RAM Kingston 4 GB KIT DDR3 1333MHz CL7 XMP HyperX
SSD Intel X25-V

The server can't be upgraded without your help, guys. And how much does it cost? Ca EUR 611, with PayPal fees is ca EUR 640 requied. Who wants a faster, better TechCom?

I'll pay EUR 100.

Edit: Without the new HDD and with current prices is ca EUR 498 needed.

***

Edit: The above configuration is going obsolete, here is an update:

CPU Intel Core i5-2500K
MB Intel DH67BL
RAM Kingston 4 GB KIT DDR3 1333MHz CL7 XMP HyperX
SSD Kingston SSDNow V100 Series - 64GB

500 bucks needed, without the disk only 393.

are you sure that the problem is in server HW and not in connection ? because some same people still have lags while others dont have any...

btw 2: that board does not support XMP, so i dont understand why to buy such a expensive RAMs...you can save another 20eur and pick some corsairs or just anything with about same performance and without crappy XMP...

The XMP version is surprisingly cheaper than non-XMP, but other memory can be used too, it's a suggestion. That SSD is not so expensive, ca EUR 120. The main reason is plain enough - the reliability. I'm sure that the performance can be apparently improved.

What about an virtell RAM-Drive, i use it and UT2k4 starts even faster, and has more stability. By the way i use 6GB have 8GB-RAM and use WIn-XP(32Bit).

What did u think.:)

Maybe, but now we have got only 2 gigs. Check the Omnipotents server config: HP Proliant DL365 G5, dual Opteron 2378, 16G RAM.

I hope u are right that the lag lays on the server hardware and not the connection. Otherwise i don't now much from server hardware.
But u should take i7 above i5 Cpu's they costs a bit more but in the future its more reliable and its a lot faster!
But is the cpu the most inportant thing in this case... Maybe not

And ssd, costs much. Put more ram and load whole game on it. Its the fastest solution.

Correct me if i'm wrong
