>FU< - Fear Us
October 2004 - Present
Fear Us came about as the culmination of a merger between the original members of >FU< and CFR. Both clans participated mainly in 'Medal of Honor: Spearhead' and competed in ClanBase until shortly before it's demise as a competitive gaming ladder. After getting to know each other, we merged and formed the new >FU<.
As 'Spearhead' became very stale (most of us had been playing it for over 2 1/2 years), EA Games released Battlefield 2. As many in the clan said our goodbye to 'Spearhead', some decided to remain active in the 'Spearhead' community and decided to leave >FU<, much to our disappointment. What remains in >FU< today are a group of good friends that enjoy getting online and kicking the shit (well, trying anyway) out of wh

oever we can. Many of us participate in BF2C, which satisfies our competitive nature, but we exist as a clan in name only. We are simply a group of friends with a common love for pissing off our significant others by spending far too much time in front of our computers instead of with them.
That pretty much sums up where we are as of now. Below is a listing of the histories of how we met and how we got where we are today.

[QPC] - Quantum Prime Communications
Late 2002 – May 2003
QPC was formed in late 2002 and got it’s name from Butcher’s own company, Quantum Prime Communications. The “founding four” of Butcher, Que, Saber and Pointman all worked at QPC and wanted to start a gaming clan together, bringing in those who also had a love for the game.
After taking on additional members, a few at a time, the clan grew into something special. We all had fun joking, laughing and playing the game together. Then the competition started to turn things around for the worse. Decisions were being made by one person and the majority were not happy with how things were being done. A couple of members of the “founding four” decided to play a joke on the control freak in the clan and things turned ugly. QPC’s days were numbered at that point and it finally dissolved on May 10, 2003.

[NAC] – North American Clan
May 2003 – October 2004
NAC formed as QPC fell apart. Slaughter led the charge to gather up the troops and form a better and stronger clan than what QPC turned out to be. A majority of the former QPC members came on board with NAC, but a few decided to go elsewhere or to form a clan of their own. Due to a majority of former QPC members joining NAC, we were familiar with each other and were committed to recruiting members that would add to the cohesiveness of the clan rather than detract from it. As members were added, the clan grew and strengthened and got better and better in competitive matches.
Unfortunately, one or two members ruined NAC and it fell to the same fate as QPC did (a clan of the past). Two or three members left the clan and everyone noticed that something was very wrong. Eventually, it was time to disband once again and the great run that NAC enjoyed would live on under a new clan name (>FU<).

[1812]- Derived from the war of 1812 fought between the USA and Britain.
Sept. 2003 – May 2004
1812 was a small clan started by 2 high school kids that lived in Cold Lake Alberta. The 3rd member of the clan was CanadianArmouredGuy (known today as Canadian.Trucker) who eventually took over leadership when the other 2 decided to drop the clan. A major help in this endeavour was Cipher as he stood up and lent a hand. It started very slowly gaining members with many coming and going. As a clan we began to compete on ClanBase, but weren’t a powerhouse so it was a struggle to move up in the ranks and therefore attract new members. At one point it became obvious a power struggle was ensuing and so C.A.G. and Blade decided to form a new clan.

*=C.F.R.=*- Cause For Retaliation
May 2004 – Oct. 2004, Nov. 2004 – Jan. 2005 (CaE)
CFR began fresh with name changes and a major roster overhaul. With a new clan name, new player names were chosen as well. We also got some new blood and tried to bolster the ranks as we attacked ClanBase head on. We were a much stronger team, but still there was dissention. In order to reach a higher status the same members were used constantly in matches, and soon those people burnt out and the ones that didn’t play became frustrated. So the decision was made to merge with another clan call Killers Syndicate. The name Retaliation Syndicate was decided upon as it was the blending of our two clans. We were a force to be reckoned with and in only a little over a month we were undefeated in 14 straight matches and had made it to 3rd on the North American Objective Realism ladder. Sadly this did not last due to personal issues between members, and CFR was reformed under the name Cause and Effect. The future was a little less bright, and people were getting tired of the game and tired of the hardship. The name eventually changed back to CFR, but the drive and spark was lost to try and do it all alone fighting to keep members and fighting to hold everyone together and stay positive. That’s when the leadership of CFR and >FU< got together and talked about the possibilities of a merger. It was a fantastic decision as the blending of the clans and blending of personalities went amazingly well. We thrived on ClanBase and to this day play as friends. For many of us it was the best decision we ever made.
