Optimize CS2/Rust/ARK servers for more stable performance

Hello GamingGears!

I'm going to share some quick technical tips to help CS2, GTA RP, ARK and Rust servers run smoother - especially useful for self-hosted admins.

1. CS2 - Optimize ticks & latency

Use the -tickrate 128 command for custom servers (although CS2 is switching to subticks, it still improves stability).

Reduce unnecessary plugins in Sourcemod.

Prioritize CPU clock speeds over core count.

2. Rust - Reduce lag when there are many entities

Periodically delete redundant entities (building frames, abandoned bases).

Use lightweight Oxide/Umod plugins, avoid stacking heavy AI processing plugins.

Enable profiling to monitor CPU spikes by tick.

3. ARK - Optimize maps & dino AI

Don't run too many maps on the same machine.

Limit the number of dino spawns, reduce AI tick updates.

Optimize ini: reduce MaxActiveLootCrates and DinoCountMultiplier if the server is crowded.

4. GTA RP (FiveM) – Prevent FPS drops & lag in crowded areas

Reduce heavy poly vehicle models.

Remove client-side scripts that leak memory.

Enable OneSync Infinity to optimize player streaming.

If you have more tips for optimizing the server or encounter any errors that you want to fix, please that's not my neighbor comment to discuss. Hope this article helps the GamingGears server run stably and attract more players!
