I am doing a kitchen refresh and I am bored of standard subway tiles. I was thinking of wallpapering the breakfast nook area or even a feature wall near the pantry. Is that practical for a kitchen or will it get ruined by the cooking humidity and grease?

You can absolutely use it in the kitchen, especially in dining nooks or on walls away from the direct splash zone of the stove. It warms up the space so much. I looked at various https://california-wallpaper.com/collections/kitchen-wallpaper kitchen wallpaper designs before picking one for my breakfast area. I went with a durable textured paper from California Wallpaper. It handles the general humidity fine and makes the kitchen feel like a proper, cozy room, not just a cold utility space.
