How to hit big multipliers?

I'm trying to figure out how to hit those big multipliers at the bottom of the pyramid. I've played a few rounds but I usually just hit the 0.5x or 1x spots in the middle.
Is there a trick to getting the ball to go to the edges more often? Should I be dropping more balls at once or just one by one? I'd love to hear how you guys manage to catch those 100x or 1000x wins.

Getting those edge hits is mostly about probability, but you can definitely tilt the odds in your favor by adjusting the rows. I personally prefer playing Plinko Online because the physics engine feels very consistent compared to other clones.
If you look at the official site, you'll see that using 16 rows is the only way to even see those 1000x multipliers. I usually stick to a medium risk setting because it balances the small wins with the occasional big hit. I've found that dropping balls in manual mode one by one feels more controlled than just spamming the auto-bet button. It might be a bit of a superstition, but it seems like the rhythm helps me stay focused on my bankroll. Another tip is to keep an eye on the Plinko App version if you're playing on mobile, as the interface makes it easy to switch settings fast.
Don't expect to hit the edges every time, as the math is naturally designed to keep the ball in the center. I once sat through fifty drops without a big win, then suddenly hit a 26x twice in a row. It is all about staying patient and not blowing your whole balance in a few minutes by getting frustrated. Just keep your bets consistent and enjoy the process of watching the ball bounce. This game is more of a marathon than a sprint, so don't rush it.

That makes sense, I guess I was being a bit impatient expecting a huge hit right away. I didn't realize that 16 rows was a requirement for the biggest multipliers, so I'll change my settings for the next session. One by one drops sounds like a more relaxing way to play anyway. I really appreciate the tip about the mobile version too. Thanks for the solid advice on how to handle the variance.
