Hello, I’m planning to build a small sauna room in my cabin up north in Canada. What Harvia heater would you recommend for a space about 5’x6’? Should I go electric or wood-burning?

For a smaller sauna like yours, an electric heater from Harvia is usually the best bet. Electric heaters are compact and easy to install, especially if electricity is readily available in your cabin. The Harvia Vega or Globo models are popular for small to mid-size rooms and maintain consistent heat levels. The advantage is they heat up quickly, perfect for casual sauna use. However, if you’re looking for a more traditional vibe and have a chimney setup, a small wood-burning Harvia heater can provide that authentic experience and save on electricity. But keep in mind it requires more care and wood supply. Check https://harviaheater.ca for size options and technical details—making sure to match the heater’s kW output to your room size is essential for safety and performance.

Thanks for the thorough advice! I’m leaning towards the electric Vega model after reviewing harviaheater.ca. Convenience trumps all for me up here. Appreciate your help in narrowing down the options!
