After pouring through thousands of screen shots we have visual evidence of a cheat. Ice banned this player last night so I had a look at the screen shots. Player will likely be banned w/ AON, PBBANS, and PunksBusted.

I assume the red lines are the positions of the enemy. I couldn't see these red lines when I was speckin him but it was clear from his behavior that he was seeing the enemy before they were comming into his view. This was particularly true when the enemy were comming through doors. His shots were perfectly timed to their appearance in the doorways. He was pulling the trigger at exactly the same time they were comming in the doorway. In hindsight, it was fairly obvious that he was hacking. At first, I though it might be due to lag, I've seen that before, but over time, it was unmistakable. That's why we asked you guys to look him over. Kudos to Cuz who picked up on it first.

Who took the screenshots?

Sailus

Oh - and good question - a wall hack right? Though it might be an aimbot at first.

Referred to as an ESP hack (extrasensory perception), but yeah basically a wallhack.

The red brackets are enemies on the map, the larger the red bracket the closer the enemy is.

Screenshots are automatically taken of every player, part of the reason to let these players stick around for 10-15 minutes even if you think they are hacking..... most time these folks rtn black screenshots but this guy obviously did not.

Don't forget the /record feature either. PBBANS will ban for a demo, if we did not get screenshot evidence of this player there wouldn't be much we could do other than ban him locally.

The way the server is setup now when you spec a player you stick with that player even when he is fragged.

So it's like this

/record demoname

/stoprecored

A demo would have gotten this guy banned as well.

Who took the screenshots? Are they taken automatically and you go through them, like a security camera?

I guess I should have recorded a demo. I'll keep the command close by next time when I spec.

Sry for the double post, I hit quote instead of edit.

Sailus,

For the record, I picked it up First! If you recall I asked both you and Zero the other night if he was hacking when he came onto our server the 1st time. You said he was very good. To me it was obvious from the get go. No one gets that many kills that fast. He doubled my kills and I was on a major roll. When he came back last night same thing so I spectated him. I took me less than a minute too seee he was using a wall hack. Anyways, Great Job by Blindsided to get solid proof, so now the low life is permanently banned and will have to buy another game. HA HA !

I forgot to mention that when you spectate someone who is using a wall hack you will not see the red lines, blue lines or ghost like images that these type hacks use unless it's a really bad hack program.

So bear this in mind when you spectate someone. In most case its easy to spot an obvious hack, especially when the hacker doesn't hide it well.
