EA is apparently committed to exploiting the opening that Activision provided them with their lackluster (or worse) design or MW2 and IW.Net. Soon after the release of BC2, which has been a success, led by PC sales, MW2 amounced that it would be releasing new maps. The maps are scheduled to release on March 30. EA just anounced that it too will be releasing new maps for BC2 on that same date at no charge to those who purcahsed the game. Only those who purchased the game second hand would have to pay for the maps.

I don't think there really will be any competition for BC2 till next year. When Treyarch makes the next COD title. If they make it.

Treyarch isn't making the next CoD. Some company like SledgeHammer Games is. What do you mean those who purchased the game secondhand will have to pay for the maps? The BC2 maps? Does this mean that if I were to get the game from somewhere like Bestbuy, that I would have to pay for the DLC?

I think if you bough it at a retailer it will be okay. You should have a vip code with it.

I bought the limited edition version at walmart and it came with a vip code.

sledgehammer is doing the next version of MW (MW3?). Treyarch is doing a vietnam title to be released later this year I think.

I must say that I am liking this game more and more. It really sucks to be a private.

I just picked up BFBC2 and am installing it now.

They confirmed that they're working on MW3? Last I heard, they were just making the next one and there was no word on whether it was going to be MW3 or a new one altogether.
