How do I copy my profile?

Can I copy my profile onto my notebook? COD4 has a player subdirectory - is there a similiar file in COD5? The internet seems to suggest that you need a program to back up your profile in COD5, is that true?

Don't need a program, although this one works nicely:

[url=http://files.filefront.com/COD5+profile+backupzip/;12360706;/fileinfo.html]http://files.filefront.com/COD5+profile+backupzip/;12360706;/fileinfo.html

You just need to copy the profile directory, and if you do use it for a backup COD5 must be installed with the cdkey you used for that profile.

Path to file in COD5

Here's mine in Vista, may have to enable view hidden files and folders to see it:

C:\Users\My Name\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles

In XP it should be something like this:

C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\players\profiles

Found it . . . It's hidden in XP.

It is not in the activision program folder like in cod4. It is in the document and settings folders. My profile folder is at:

c:/documents & settings/0000(name of user)/local settings/application data/activision/cod waw/players/profiles

Hope this helps anyone else looking for this needle in a haystack.

Nice job and given the amount of folks that have been losing their profile/ranking for whatever reason I think we all should be backing them up.
