It's been rainy, so work on the boat is at a stand still. I broke out the new computer case last night and started working on installing the power supplies for the fans. One thing led to another and I was up late following up the research I started last spring.
Hwere's where I am so far: . I7 920 (I would like a CPU cooler) . Corsair 850 W power supply . Corsair Dominator DDR3 2000 Ram - 6 gig . Corsair HD (either 80 or 128 gig - havent decided) . Motherboard (3 still in the running) 1. ASUS Rampage II Extreme 2. ASUS P6T 3. Intel X58 ATX . Graphics Card Front runner is a single Radeon 5870 which I plan to upgrade to dual Nvidia 360's in a year or so. . Sound card and opticle drive (anything on sale) . Windows 7 professional 64 bit Thoughts? Sailus |

If you don't already know the Asus rampage is not ATX. It's actually bigger.
ATX Form Factor 12 inch x 10.6 inch ( 30.5 cm x 26.9 cm ) * One inch greater than standard ATX form factor |

Thanks Ryoma - im down to the p6t and X58 EVGA.
Also, since I'm taking my time building the rig, I may wait till NIVDIA releases the 3 series cards in January and get 2 360s.

ILl be happy to post pictures as I put the machine together. After laboring over specs last night I have decided to go with the Asus P6t Delux Mobo which seems to be the darling of overclockers.
