I dl the mod this morning. It is a great mod for COD4. I forgot how nice it was to play on a server with decent pings. The map is incredible. With some work, this mod could revitalize COD4. There are alreay a number of beta servers on the east coast that I can play with a 32 ping.

This mod will probably outlast MW2, if IW does not patch dedicated servers.

I want to try it out . how do i get it going ?

I tried installing it from their web site but got an error. The way i did it was to go to filters and only allow mods, then look for a server with a decent ping that said"starwars mod or galactic mod" and dowloaded it when I joined.

I agree with sailus it's a good mod. Of course still needs some work, because it's a beta but I can see it outlasting MW2 also.

Back up your COD4 profile before you try to dl the files and put into the game folders. At least one person seems to have wiped out their profile.

I've never looked at the mod, this one looks like it would be quite complex but I could probably set it all up in a couple of hours and if it doesn't work out it would be trivial to bring it back to stock with the same config it's currently running.
