Broken middle finger . . .

on my left hand. That's the "W" key for those of you not conversant with right and left. Actually, I tore the tendon, tore the ligaments and fractured the bone on first joint at the base. It looks like a split wishbone. It's a bich playing with the splint on and I can only play a few games at a time before it starts to hurt again.

Damaged it dancing. Go figure.

What the hell type of dancing were you doing??? You tried to break dance didn't you sail

Probably sticking his finger somewhere where it didn't belong.


Ligament and tendon damage is tough, broken bones they just heal.

You got that right. Actually, I'm a fairly aggressive dancer (Salsa). Was in Miami dancing with some pretty good dancers. One of them lost her balance and grabbed my leading hand for stability and got only the tip of my middle finger as she was falling. Riiiiipppppppppp! Ouch.

It's been in a splint for 3 weeks now but I have to keep it on for 12 weeks total. The ligaments and tendons take a lot longer to heal but it looks like they're re-attaching ok.
