The 1st payer game is pretty cool. It is short though. The cinematics and in game dialogue is pretty good.
I have been playing multiplayer squad match. It's like a combination of DM and TDM. There seems to be a maximum of 16 players each divided into squads of four. Basically it's 4 squads of 4 players vs the other squads. The kill limit is 50. It's also more tactical then gun and run. There is no prone position only croutch and no lean. Just as in MW one advances by getting kills and as one advances one gets "perks" One also gets achievemts and awards. One thing wich is cool is if one gets a knife kill you get the dog tag of the person u killed. It seems that players profiles are kept on line. For anti-cheat they are using PB There are different kits to choose from. Med, engineer and assault, and sniper. Each one has it's own gadgets(attachments to guns). There is also dedi servers with pings below 100 to choose from. O |

I picked up my preorder two days ago. The game takes some getting used to after COD. The early assualt rifle sucks ass. But, I like the game. There are some infantry only maps. Squad match is a good game mode.
I think I'm going to seriously upgrade my computer though. I have to run my 23" on high resolution. BC2 is demanding on both the GPU and CPU. Been waiting for the 930 and until some good aftermarket 5870s are released. Now, NVIDIA has some of its new fermi cards out. I'll probably stick with a single 5870 for now. |

I played for about 20 minutes, didn't get a kill... got killed about 10 times and ran over a teammate with a hummer.
Couldn't tell where I was getting shot from. I don't like the way the toggle crouch and aiming down the site works... does take some getting used to. I'll try it later on tonight.... maybe if I can kill someone it will be more enjoyable. Single player seemed pretty good... more of a story then COD is. |

Funny Blind. I had the same problem. I was shooting a lot but not hitting much. My hit rate is about 12%. Lots of spraying going on. The whole feel of the game is different than COD. I'm starting to get the hang of it. The assualt rifle that you get at the begining really sucks. Can't wait for my first upgrade.
I have an SU74 from the preorder and it is great but its only an engineers weapon. The maps are so big that snipers seem to have a lot of opportunity to kill you before you get close enough to them with engineer or assualt weapons. Hopefully a the weapons get more accurate, the odds will shift. Sailus BTW Cuz, In game, I'm sailus with h2k clan tags. Ill send an invite next time i'm on .

I'm at level four now. It does take some used to. I noticed that on alot of the servers the hardcore mode is off. It could be that is why it takes alot to kill a person. I have to empty most of a clip to kill a person. On some players I can get a one sniper kill shot and on others two. I'm going to assume that is because of some kit that gives a player more health like juggernaut does on COD or that there's a kit that gives players more armor.
I'll see if i can find a HD server no matter what game mode and see if there's a difference. I have noticed that on the maps for squad dm and rush are the same but the maps are cut off for squad dm. Haven't played the other modes yet. I don't like the way the toggle works either and I think in this case the ability to lean would have added more to the game. I do like the way you can destroy buildings. I think that adds more realism then COD. They also made it more difficult to level up then COD. There are other weapons and gadgets that opened up. I got a nd launcher, smoke launcher and shotgun attchament for the assault rifles. I also opened up other rifles and shotguns for the assault kit. On recon kit I opened up mortar attack and two other sniper rifles, and motion sensors. They make you aim either with the white cross hairs for close range or to use the sights. Really can't spray and pray like in COD. |

Much to the surprise of EA, the PC version of BC2 is outselling Xbox and PS3 combined. Seems like the bad design of MW2 has really created a lot of pent up demand for the PC version of the game. EA is on its way to real success with this game led by PC sales. So much for the IW business model.
The game seems very demanding for the GPU and CPU. My system is literally frying. I can smell my 9600GT self destructing as I play this game. I have been waiting for the 930 I7 and the 5870 to become available. Both are now on New Egg, so I can get to work on my computer.

Guess IW and Activision have learned their lesson. Don't ignore the pc gamers.
