| It’s been a long time coming |

Well guys, it’s been a long time coming, but I’m finally starting to work on SOS again. First, I would like to apologize for how long it has taken. There have been many setbacks, including money, computer problems, and just plain life. I have been sidetracked by multiple things, but have finally set down and started the ball rolling again. The Update! Our dedicated server is back up and running as “SOS Clan Recruitment ::West Coast::”, and has been moved to a new machine that is more powerful (an older P4 Rig). My hope is that the new computer will help reduce or eliminate the stutters and jumps that you experienced on the old computer. The old laptop that was our main server is still going to be used for our TS server, and possibly a 4v4 scrim server. It is also possible that the P4 will run two servers from the same system, as the CPU has Hyper Threading. Currently the TS server is still down, but I’m planning on having the ports forwarded through my router sometime tonight or tomorrow. All of this means that I will be playing Halo PC again, at least part time if not more. It also means that we are going to be looking at recruiting again. I’m trying to brush up on my game skill again in pubs, and suggest you all do the same. It will take a little time to get the SOS name back in the game, so to speak, but once we do we will hopefully be there to stay. I would also like to mention that I have been thinking of expanding SOS to support more game titles, including but not limited to: • Saints Row 2 PC • Halo 2 Vista • Left 4 Dead (1&2) • Americas Army 3 (Free) • FEAR (1,2, and the free multiplayer) • Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl • Half-life 2 Death match And any others that we might play frequently. I am open to suggestions on games to support. I would like to limit the number of Free To Play (FTP) games we support, as many of them have severe hacking issues. Note that Americas Army 3, is supported through steam, and uses PunkBuster Anti-Cheat. In the mean time, I encourage all of you who are still with us to become active again. I will be checking online regularly, and possible getting the server back on gametracker so we can watch our stats. I will be doing a cleansing of our members, to remove inactive players in 3 months from this post. If you have not contacted me, posted on the forums, or played with other members of SOS during those three months you will be removed. I feel that though we have been inactive for some time now, three months is more than enough time to at least say hi or email me if you are not going to become active during that time. As always, if you are removed and then become active again and wish to rejoin you can contact me for consideration. I will be sending this out in email form to all players that I have email addresses for, to ensure that the info is spread properly. -SOS Hawkens
