I dont mean to step on anyones toes here...but why are we told to "watch our language" while playing a game that revolves around killing people in a realistic manner, including blood and the like? If this game were made for kids, it wouldnt include all of that. This game is for mature audiences and as so, shouldnt the parents be responsible for what games there kids are playing?

I understand that we shouldnt "cuss people out" for whatever reason (which i agree with), but to me there is a LARGE difference in being hostile to someone and using words to express myself.

I feel like i shouldnt have to suffer from the lack of self expression simply due to that fact that a parent lets there children play something that may be to adult for them. And if the parent is ok with letting there kids play a very violent, realistic game KNOWING that it is for adults...then they should expect the other people that play to be adults...using ADULT language.

I know that ultimately its your guys server and you all have every right to enforce what ever rules you want for whatever reason, but i just feel like maybe if you looked at this issue from a different perspective you would understand why seems a bit hypocritical and in many players eyes, un-necessary.

Dooks im not sure what you mean completely, our language rules are pretty lenient, we (or i at least, havnt seen any other admins ask people to watch their language for mere swearing) only ask players to watch their language when swearing in a way that negatively targets other players or when someone uses a racial term like "nigger". Maybe you can go into more detail about what things you said or others said that they were told to watch their language for, so it's more clear .

You are absolute right for the most case dooks.
The reason I was telling those two players to watch their language was because they were directing their aggression towards the opposite team members by calling them a "Bitch" and you Fucken______. Anyways by reminding them about language and to respect the players, it helps control the server so that everyone can have a fun and nice place to play with out any bickering and arguing. Sometimes some people get offended about direct insults or name calling then the whole nature of the game is lost. That would really suck if it happens on a real good match. so to prevent that from happening. we ask people to try to keep the bad language and direct name calling to a minimum..we don't mind the small stuff like shit damn even fuck gets thrugh with no problem as long as its not directed at another player.

hmmm, what you guys are saying...i agree with. but what was being said on the server (on more then one occasion) was "watch the language, there are kids in here" (and im not talking about what you said large). the language that was being used wasnt necessarily hostile but simply "adult language".

its nice to see that we agree on this subject and to know that i can talk to you guys and not have to worry about people overacting.

I think the whole language this should really be directed at the people that make it uncomfortable in the server by blatant cussing on the server towards another person, not in fun but in anger.

This makes the server weaksauce if this happens and will make people not want to play. Its true that the language cant be prevented from kids hearing it as I am sure that they hear this type of language all day at school.

I think we should stick to the blatant language, racism etc.. and be harsh to those that do. For the others that vent and cuss like "fuck me I knew you were there" or "shit quarterpounder you are good" should be ok.
