| PC Gaming Appears Healthy As Steam Announces Six Million Daily Users |

Valve has today released a few interesting figures relating to the user-numbers and growth of Steam as a gaming service across the past few years. Over the last twelve months, the number of accounts on Steam has grown by 178% - to a total of 30 million users. In what can be seen as a rather healthy sign for PC gaming in general, Valve has also revealed that Steam has an average daily user base of six million. "Steam is on track to record the biggest year in its six year history," said Valve's Gabe Newell (somewhat confusing, as Steam actually launched seven years ago in September 2003.)
