1/12/2012 around 9PM NY time the player "Dark Angel" got angry for causes I did not comprehend and claimed to have turned on his aimbot. I kid you not.

I think he botted me once, then subsequently turned it off.

You can check the logs.

I warned him chat logs are being recorded, and I'd report him.

Thanks for the report.

The player dark angel was in again today claiming that he had a bot. I did not see it personally, but was alerted to it by someone else. The only chat I saw from this player was an advertisement for a download where others may get the bot.

Since he has "owned up" twice and several skilled players have independantly accused him of botting, I recommend we take action against his hashkey as a warning.

I want to make it clear that I have no supporting evidence that he is indeed botting, rather than just mouthing off. No video of him cheating, just his recorded conversations:

Recommendations, Bon, Spirit, HALO PLAYA? I would say we ban this player for 1 month considering we don't have proof of his foul play.

I agree...I looked at the chat logs last night and everytime he's in he's talking about botting or going to bot or something to do with his bot. It's annoying. I dont like bots and I dont like people claiming they are going to bot because it just pisses people off and puts the server on edge.

I think a 1 month ban would be nice. He should know why because OF told him he was going to report him to the admins for his claims of botting.

Hey, quick thought. Is there a way to display a particular message to one person and a generic message to another upon attempting to join the server? Put more clearly, say this individual tries to join the server again. Instead of "The server operator has banned you from this server" or whatever it says, it would say "The server operator has banned you from this server because you claimed to have been botting." Then say some other poor banned soul tries to join. HIS message would read: "The server operator has banned you from this server because you are a complete prick to everyone around you." That might be a useful way to let problem players know the reasons for our actions. After all, if someone has no GT and is also banned, how will he know our motives?

I don't think so. That's just a default message the game displays to any banned user. I've never seen any mod or anything that can be used to change that message. That is more on the user side (game) rather than the server side. Would be cool though lol.
