First off, let me say that I've been playing almost exclusively on the K4F Hardcore #2 since 2010. Have never had problems until the past 2 weeks or so.

I've been getting tempbanned almost daily for absolutely no reason. Just straight kicked! Asked an admin about it, named "coconut" and he claimed it may be an automatic kick due to modded config. Is there such a thing? I haven't even touched my config.

Today was the most flagrant one, with an admin named "PCLab". He kicked 2 players claiming they had a modded config before I talked to him. Recalled from memory, the conversation was like follows:

Megatron: This modded config thing looks very arbitrary. I guess it's very difficult to judge if a config is modded just by spectating.
PCLab: Megatron, do you have any problem?
Megatron: My only problem is that I've been kicked a couple of times for having a modded config, while I've had a freshly created one.
Server: You've been kicked.

I was tempbanned actually, just for telling that guy that it is a very arbitrary judgement. Are these admins asked to act like emperors of a communist country? We can't even talk to them in a civil manner?

During the past months, I've never seen any admin with the [K4F] clan prepended to their name, just "hidden" guys with random nicknames. This modded config thing is getting really, really ridiculous. Have seen too many good players getting kicked for the same reason.

I've been a loyal player for too many years, joining the server for a good game or two. I'm really thinking of deleting all K4F's server from the favorites. You may not care, but I'm sure there are countless others like me.

Im getting this aswell - just started to happend recently aswell. Its almost as Im worried that someone hacked accounts or something. I played with you fir quite some time - I can vouch your a clean player. Im not playing the k4f server without recording anymore.. It sucks because its a great server.

Well, guys, I know both of you and I certainly know that both of you are clean. You may know me as Misophonic or #Chill-Scherp. I've been kicked for the same reason and I really do not know what modded config is.

I've search the internet for it and the only thing that makes sence, is a folder with the name 'Mod'. It has to do wich server you played before.

For example, i've been playing a zombieserver for a long time and they ad a 'config' to this folder 'Mod'. It downloads stuff so you can play the server.

I have delete this map and asked some admins on this site if this helps. I would love to hear from you guys if this was good, or that somewhere else in the install map of CoD4 are files that need to been delete our changed.

Hi Megatron. I just want you to know that i have been speaking to other mods - and the admin who acted like a dickhead today will be having his adminsright revoked - its not the first time this guy acts like this. Just so you know, and please dont leave the server. I need good competition :p

So the story happened again. I was speaking with "console", cus he had no balls to reveal. He was constantly kicking me out, claiming, that I need to fix my config. Let me add, that I had never changed it before, unless you count brighten my screen - then I'm a cheater with modyfied config, and I apologize. Also, I asked him to show me or tell me privatly, what needs to be fixed, refused and kicked me again.


Conclusion? Who the FUCK gave those kids permissions to rule? This is not the first time I have to type this shit, pushing my nerves to the limits ( I still remember You Swifty For All ). You are blocking better players, searching for a good excuse to do so. Let me, lastly, add, that I used to play in a professional Polish cod6 team, and I have spend thousands of hours improving my movment to finally hear - my cfg is wrong to kill some random dudes on old, dying cod4.

I know admins don't even bother to read this and I sincerely don't understand why they even bother keeping the server online in the current state. It's an old game, sure, but there are still people enjoying it. Anyway, let's call it a log.

As it has been the case in the last months, today I got kicked and !banip from "Rest". Didn't get any explanation, but I believe it's the same old "modded cfg" story. Oh the ban was because I was telling to Jayboy that "we got a comedian who can kick". Guess his ego is, well, kinda small.

A few days ago I talked to another admin, named "Muppet", who identified himself as "Renegade". I've seen him in the past and I'm sure he was an admin, as he was kicking people. Asked him who is the guy that was kicking me and he told it was "killerpl". Don't think he had any reason to lie about it.

I remember "killerpl" as a cool guy, although quite rarely seen on the server, at least with his "primary" nickname. Don't know if it's some middle-age crisis, loneliness or whatever, but I can loudly say he's a complete dick. Hopefully, he's just a dick in-game...

The only reason I've been getting back to COD4 and this server in particular, is because we're a few friends who play together. I truly have enough with K4F! Have seen it hands-on degrade in just a few months: most good players have left or have been banned and the only competition are those campers and martyrs. On top of that, there are these admins who should have been demoted a long time ago. There's not a single reason to fight it. Such a pity...

After one week, just logged on your fucking sad server, got banned instantly.

Aint got words to describe how that PISSED ME OFF.

@humansyntii do what any sane person should: find another server and move on. When admins are dicks and the server maintainer doesn't give a damn, it's a lost case. There's nothing to fight for anyway! Should you stress over a server where good players are just a handful?

Just a flash update. Today got kicked again. Re-entered the server, asked "Wtf? Who kicked me?" and this time got temp banned. Guess it was the same admin (killerpl?) from an rcon tool. Anyway, I'm entering the server occasionally just to get kicked by this guy for no reason.
