As of 5/31/14 GameSpy will be shutting down its servers. What does this mean? More than 70 games will be affected: games that used GameSpy's servers and gameplay for these games will be officially terminated and no longer be available for gameplay. Halo PC Combat Evolved was one of those games until a couple weeks ago. Fortunately, the awesome folks at Bungie decided to continue support for Halo PC and donated servers for Halo. Also a patch was developed, version 1.10 (link provided below), that allows Halo users to continue running Halo, but doesn't require that they use GameSpy to do so. So if you love Halo PC and wish to continue playing it after 5/31, you will need to download and install the patch.
