*** Halo v1.08 / All Servers Up and Running 08/08/08, 08/13/08***

As of Friday, 08/08/08, Bungee released a new version -- v1.08 -- of Halo. Anyone logging onto the Halo internet lobby as of this date were automatically updated to this new version and immediately could not find most of their favorite servers! This is because most of us were unaware of this update and our v1.07 servers could no longer be seen by anyone who was now updated to v1.08! Anyway, as of Friday evening our POWRGULCH, ROCKTGULCH and TANKWARZ servers were updated to v1.08. And as 9:45am EST today, 08/13/08, our SNIPRGULCH and CLANWARZ servers were updated as well. Soooo now all of our servers are updated and online. This represents Bungie's/Microsoft's last official update of Halo PC. The update is intended to fix some security issues, as well as allow you to play Halo without needing a CD (you will still need to install and use only one CD key as usual, so you will not be able to use duplicate keys simultaneously online). Also, an unintended consequence of this update is that most or possibly all aimbots will be nullified (hurrrrraaay!). We have done some preliminary testing and found that the aimbots we tried produced an error which froze up and ended our Halo session (this did not affect the game for the other players, just the aimbotter, so the server session remained up and running). *** Recent Server Downages **** 07/12/08

In recent weeks there have been quite a few downages being experienced by us and others throughout Halodom. We apologize for the inconvenience and have been trying to keep on top of this. *** Server Downage: ROCKTGULCH *** 06/17/08

At approximately 12:50am EST, the !!!~ REAL NC UNLTD ROCKTGULCH a_booger server went down. Upon speaking with IT at GameServes.com, we found that there was a hardware issue on their end this is causing the downage. At the moment we have no more info on when the problem will be resolved, but are being assured that they are working on it feverishly. We will keep you posted as soon as we hear otherwise. Check it out!! As of around 2:00am'ish EST or thereabouts, the ROCKTGULCH server hit the prestgious notoriety of being ranked the #1 most popular Halo server in the world!! According to GameTracker, ROCKTGULCH is now the most popular server based upon usage statistics, and in only 3 months of it's being up!!! Thanks to all of you Halo fanatics and addicts out there! *** New Dedicated TANKWARZ Production Server !!! - 06/14/08

As of 5:20am EST, 6/14/08, the test TANK WARZ server has a new home on a dedicated gameserver. The new name of the server is "!!!~ REAL NC TANKWARZ a_booger". If you display your maps by alpha order in the Halo Lobby, it will appear smack in the middle of the other REAL NC maps. You should experience little lag if any on this server which we purposely located in NJ/NY - communications hub of the U.S. Thanks again to ñc mafia for his hard work on this new ñc game server. As of 5:20am EST, 6/10/08, the ban lists for both the POWRGULCH, SNIPRGULCH and ROCKTGULCH servers were reset! So, if you were either banned by the System Admin (a rarety) or due to autobanning yourself (betraying team members 5 times), all is forgiven! *** New TANK WARZ Server!!! *** 06/10/08

As of 2:40am EST, 6/10/08, a new TANK WARZ test server was launched and released on the unsuspecting Halo public! Thanks to the hard work and cunning craftiness of ñc mafia we now have a game server which is modelled after the best elements of other similar Tank War servers, only better. TANK WARZ is basically a sniper server in which the sniper rounds are tank rounds! This coupled with some pretty cool modifications to the BloodGulch map (i.e., unlimited sniper rounds, teleports galore, and more...), make for some suuuweeet action!!! Just as with our ever-popular ROCKTGULCH map, we were able to keep all mods server-side, so there is no need to download a special map in order to fully enjoy all the modifications. The name of the server is !!!~ REAL NC TANK WARZ (will show up in your Halo Lobby smack in the middle of the other REAL NC servers. Currently it's in its Beta phase until we work out any kinks, tweaks and put it on a production game server. In the meantime, play your heart out and give us some feedback. Thanks again ñc mafia! *** New SNIPRGULCH Server *** 04/21/08

As of 12:00pm EST, 4/21/08, ñc clan has a new sniper server!! The new SNIPRGULCH server map (full server name listed below) is based upon the same map used in our POWRGULCH server, complete with the same teleports (and a few more). If you are familiar with BBT modded Bloodgulch maps, then you will be very comfortable playing this map. To get the most recent version of the bloodgulch.map file for this and the POWRGULCH server, click on the "ñc Clan Downloads" link in the "Links" section of this page and download the bloodgulch map with the most recent date (most recent as of this posting is 1/26/08). New "Masthead" Server for Halo Lobby - 04/20/08

As of 2:00am EST, 4/20/08, a new "masthead" server has been added to appear in the Halo Internet Lobby just above our other game servers. This server is simply a 1 player, passworded server whose only purpose is to point interested gamers to our www.ncclan.org website. New Revision for ROCKTGULCH Server - 04/19/08

As of 4/19/08 the ROCKTGULCH was revised to incorporate a 5 minute vehicle respawn. It was felt that this would allow for some tactical blocking of ports with vehicles, giving the port-blocking team slight tactical advantage, while at the same time adding a slight disadvantage to a team having heavy reliance on vehicle use as well (teams using vehicles to block ports and travel to the opposing team's side of the map). The new revision is intended to give teams a slightly new dynamic to use while strategizing in the game. New Downloads Available - 04/17/08

The latest POWRGULCH map, dated 1/26/08, is available for download. Also, there is a stock 9/4/03 bloodgulch.map file available if you forgot to back it up, and now need to restore it (without reinstalling Halo). Also, we have added a screen shot and some way cool in-game action videos made by our members for your enjoyment. Who knows, maybe you'll be in one of them! Problems Fixed with ROCKTGULCH Server - 04/17/08

Problems were reported with reloading after 2 rounds, and not being able to see rounds fired after the first 2 initial rounds. These problems were fixed and tested in the wee hours this morning on a stock bloodgulch map, and passed with flying colors. Launchers now start with 300 rounds, and reload a full 300 rounds; all rounds fired are visible now as well. *** UPDATED LINK *** Clan Downloads - 04/16/08

On 4/16/08 it was determined that our RapidShare method of file download distribution was way too clumsy and cumbersome for the average unsuspecting downloader. Subsequently, we moved our files to the MediaFire file sharing platform which is proving to have a much more user-friendly interface. Currently our newest Bloodgulch POWRGULCH map is available there, as well as some screenshots and cool videos for your gaming pleasure. Revised ROCKTGULCH Server with Unlimited Rockets - 04/13/08

As of 7:00am EST, the ROCKTGULCH server design was overhauled. It is no longer a BBT MOD platform with teleports. The new server is based upon the stock Bloodgulch map. Vehicle numbers have been reduced somewhat to allow for more ground action amongst rocket players. And most importantly... UNLIMITED ROCKETS with NO RELOADING!!! Hence, we have renamed the server to !!!~ REAL NC UNLTD ROCKTGULCH a_booger. Try this one on for size!
