It is funny how most hackers get caught because they are actually really bad players and don't want to take the time to build any skills in the game, thus it makes it really obvious they are hacking. I really notice it in low gravity because a good player, especially if they do play low-grav alot, has certain moves and ways of traveling around a map. I have watched and caught many hackers and that is what usually tells me they are hacking, high kills and low deaths, and no real strategy skills. If you play enough sometimes you just get a feeling something is wrong in a game, and 9 times out of 10 I'm right. I will not accuse anyone of hacking unless I'm sure.

On the other hand, you have some really skilled players out there, Claize, CrazyWabbit, Jasace, Crapnaut, Sunshine, Lamm-Chopp, (just to name a few you guys would be familiar with) some that I continuously get hack reports about, and I know they are not hacks. I even get hack reports about myself, LOL, which is really silly!! These guys are just more skilled than the average player, and some players just can't believe that there are players that are that much better. I especially get this alot on weekends as weekend warriors think they are great, but they just don't have the experience.

The point is, it is a fine line sometimes between a hack and a good player, and one has to be sure when calling someone a hack. If you're not sure it is better to get more opinions on a demo than just start calling someone hack without positive proof.

The /r_shownormals 1 command is a great tool to spot wallhacks when watching a demo, and if it isn't obvious using that, then the person is usually just a tricky player.
