The following is a list of the maps currently running on the Ravens Keep. This list will change from time to time so check back regularly so you don't get kicked off the Keep the next time you're playing there. You can either download the full map pack or download them individually.

FULL MAP PACK With self-extracting installer:
Ravens Map Pack - With Installer <-- Click to download (67.66 MB)
FULL MAP PACK - ZIP File:
Ravens Map Pack - ZIP File <-- Click to download (67.59 MB)

The two files above have the following maps:
1+, 3box4, 7++, 16+, 17+, bbq3dm1, bdra3, boramus, chronic, keep, lloydmdm2, m3k, map_korea, MARKAND9, Marsv1, outpost, overkill, q3dem03, SweetiesRevenge.

SPECIAL NOTES:
Quake 3 maps are compressed inside a file with extension .PK3.
The maps you'll find here are inside a ZIP file, this is to keep the PK3 map extension untouched once you download the file to your computer.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1-DOWNLOAD the map of your choice and save it somewhere easy to access like your Desktop.
2-EXTRACT the map file which has a .PK3 extension and don't rename the file in any way.
3-COPY the extracted file to your baseq3 folder of your Quake 3 Arena installation, usually C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena\baseq3\.

*You can also extract directly to your baseq3 folder by browsing through the folder with your 'unzip' application.

KNOWN ISSUES:
When you download and save a PK3 directly, meaning a PK3 file which is not inside a ZIP file, some internet browsers will change the file extension to nothing (Save As File Type *.*) leaving the file useless or broken. You can fix this by manually adding the extension to the file.

A map full of traps, secret rooms and fun. Sweetie's Revenge will test your wits against a single opponent. Things change once it gets full of players; the traps and secret rooms start to make more sense as there are several places to hide and the map's architecture full of walls and corridors provide excellent fire cover. Keep your health and armor to the max and make mental notes as to where the health spheres are located, staying alive as longs as you can truly makes a difference on this map.

A mid tempo Egyptian-styled map full of open spaces and launch pads. The action takes place within the two main chambers both connected through a teleporter and corridors that run to the sides. There is almost no place to hide which makes it an ideal place for those handy with the railgun while the long corridors and long jumps off the pads provide a chance to nail that spectacular long rocket frag you want on your repertoire. Improve your defense and stay off the walls to minimize the splash damage from the BFG and Rocket.

A look back at Doom featuring an abandoned base on Mars. This is a very detailed and very beautiful map with lots of structures, corridors and sound effects. The game play is very fast with most of it taking place on the outer grounds. The feel of it is just awesome, the gusts of wind whistling by just takes you deeper in to the game. Try not to get lost and remember the quickest path to the outside as you can miss much of the action if you linger to much inside. Piece of advice: stay away from the blue energy beam in one of the chambers.

A spoof of DM17 with a twist. This space map appeals to hardcore railers just as DM17 does. It features three levels, just like DM17 an upper level where the platforms are, a lower level where you can hide for a while and a middle level with central structure that resembles a kiosk is connected to the middle level through stairs and two bridges. The roof of the kiosk makes a nice place to sit and aim, but beware for passing by players that are being thrown from the platform jump pads. The key to winning this map: spot your target before it spots you!

A large Egyptian-styled map. Beautifully designed with large open spaces and long closed corridors, to high ceilings, deep pits, sunken treasure rooms and plenty of fun. This map can be a great location for a hide and seek game of 1 vs 1 where you must outwit your opponent in the most elemental, yet overlooked Quake strategy: Location Awareness. This map is very large, so large in fact, that if you don't know your way around, you can actually get lost and run around in circles in it. But don't let the vastness of this map throw you off. There is plenty of teleporter beams all around this map that will get you fast from one side to the other. It is up to you to remember where exactly these beams take you as it is one of the most important things to master in your way to conquering this map.
