Ok Bad news. I tried razor release AND with all due respect it is crap. i still have CTD problems and the only way of getting it to work was to copy and paste the client.dll of the demo to the full l4d2.

For those suffering Crash after Intro Video, this hybrid c.r.a.c.k should make it work at least SP.

To play just type map <map_name> in console.

Backup all your l4d2 files first because this will overwrite a bunch of dlls with demo and old versions.

Also, set language in rev.ini if you don't know russian n_n

PS: set language anyway just for the sake of it n_n(x2)

I'm still trying to find what the variables are for us those who crash after intro no matter what. We have people who got it working on win7 x64 and people who crash on xp sp3.

@Jim: is your win7 final version or RTM 7600?

Very very good news. Just got the TPG version working on mum's laptop. So , i don't know what to do now. Maybe reformat?

I bought L4D2 and it's working great .
Bit laggy and sometimes low FPS but considering my horrible PC, it's doing rather well.

Okey guys here's what y'all been waiting for. Those who crash after the intro can play now.

Here's what you gotta do

1. Download
pirategay version

2. After it's complete you extract it to folder of choice.

3. Then you download this and this

4. You extract the "engine.dll bin" into the folder that left4dead2.exe is.

5. Extract the "client.dll bin" into left4dead2 folder in left4dead2 folder i know don't ask.

6. start revloader and skip the intro's then at loading screen press enter once and wait for the game to load. After it's loaded into the main menu enable developer console in options/keyboard.

7. open up console and type

connect 89.140.73.85:4500

8. don't forget to have fun

since i downloaded razor i get a errormesg when i try to connect to the server:" disconnected ! steam validation rejected" !? someone a clue how to fixx it?
