It shows my name as "name" even after changing.

And obviously.. i couldn't change the map.

Is it possible to get the patch non-steamily?

I can't find it.

was a problem with countrynick plugin, one of the things broken with this update. its fixed now

currently there are two ways to play: cracked steam and legit. rev-emu (no steam) is not ready to play this version

as for the fps, didn't see any noticeable difference.

poked around the rev-crew forums for a while.. no hopeful news of new rev-emu yet

the server's been sooooooooo empty today.. wish we hadn't updated yet.

problems not fixed related to this version:

- A2S_Player query time outs: so gametracker and the other online monitors, or tools like hlsw, qtracker doesnt report online players.

- Since we dont use rev-emu client-side, STEAM IDs are IP based instead of HD serial based. This breaks the admin immunity system.

We can make a workaround for this by using passwords for the admin levels, PM which pass (strong enough, mix char/numbers/capitals...) you want to use and ill configure it.

Please report any other problem you may find.

Anyway yeah, the directions on the home page helped out thanks DF.

And I only went on it for a few seconds but I dunno it did kindof seem betterly FPSie. Usually I join a game and then I have no FPS until like half an hour later. Maybe it was because I was the only one in game.

shit wow.. that sucks! so the server will always show 0/8 in qtracker, etc then. noone would want to play in an empty server. looks like the problem is with the patch itself.
