i have done some reaserach and i also have write some rules that i want in my motd. But it seem that it is very few people that read motd, So i was thinking a lot for few days. And then i remember something from l4d1. There you had to agree to server rules in order to stay in the server. otherwise you whould been kick from it. As fare as i understand it is only none admin people that have to agree to the rules. so my question is. Is it possible to add that on a l4d2 server? and if so, whould eny of you guys add it? coz i wil not add it if not all of you want.

that sounds like it would be a good idea, whoever, i have never seen a plugin to do that yet on any forum, and do not know how to make it. if it does not exist we could see about having it made or something.

Since we now have some plugins working that were not working the L4D2 first came out, I will take the plugin from L4D1 and test it on my local server to see if there are still issues or not.
For at least a month when I initially set that plugin up on L4D1 servers, I forced everyone, even admins to accept the rules. My reasoning was, and still will be if it starts to work for L4D2, to allow admins to see how it works as though they were a common player, so that when players did start complaining that from time to time you would have to accept the rules every map of a campaign rather than once a day or once a week, we would know that they were telling the truth and that it can get annoying. I think initially, I had each player accept the rules each time they would join the server, but because of some small glitches, I changed it to like once a week or month or something. I will check the settings on the #1. After we ensure that the plugin works fine with minimal glitches, we can change it so admins don't have to accept the rules from then on. |

i think i like the connection to the server. if that works i say go for that. that way everyone has seen it before they start playing, so if they break the rules, they cant complain or say they didnt know. it may get slightly annoying, but i think on server connect is not too bad at all.

You misunderstand. It is a connect message that sometimes glitches and forces at least certain players to accept at each map in the campaign - something it is not supposed to do.

well, we could check it out. and see if it works. and if you guys think it is a good idea so lets go for it. It wil make it somehow easier to ban or kick someone that usally not behave. and if they do protest a ban we have a very powerful question for them. i know it whould work. coz when it was on l4d1 i usally read it and then hit yes after reading. so i think that whould be a very powerful tool for us. but of corse, if it not working as it should we cant add it. but i hope we can
