So it turns out I was using a "cheat config." I have done some messing with my config in private servers like adding noclip binds which dont work in real games and have copy and pasted say binds directly into my config which could have raised a red flag. I was told by cat that my config was "cheat" so i just deleted the config and started from scratch. The only thing I changed in the console command (not opening the config file so no tampering was done there) were 1. Sensitivity to 1.7, 2. fov to 80, 3. max fps to 333, 4. and drawing the fps counter. All other controls/graphics settings were set in the menu. I then got a 2 week ban for still using a cheat config. I was given the ok for my config file and the commands I used to if there is anything giving me an unfair advantage or that could raise a red flag then let me no so I can change them once my ban if over. (If its not clear this is player 4ofdiamonds that was banned) I had no intention of cheating/giving an unfair advantage so if there is anyone who can help me please do.

I recently unistalled and deleted all files and reinstalled so the game should be completely default. Also could you let me know what you ment by something was not right? I know I have a pretty weird playstyle when it comes to movment and switching weapons that are not all neccesary and I can avoid when playing on the server.

so what im getting is there is something to do with my aim? i do also practice my aim a lot and play many competitive fps games such and cs:go which require precision and speed (and i use a low sensitivity 800 dpi, 1.7 in game) i dont know if its just on my side but the video is really choppy and could make my flicks look more snappy? i guess i can just not aim as well while playing on this server. I also dont think there is anything you can modify in your config that can really give you an advantage in aiming, the only things that can help you are binds such as fast fire which utilize wait commands, and exploits in the cod4 switching system. i have no idea how you could create a bind or enable a command which would help with aiming. in the end you are the admin and you have the final say. all i have to give is my word that i am not cheating and if i am then not intentionally (almost positive i am not)

Today I deleted everything in cod4, config, files, players, even the cod4x files in a separate directory and then proceeded to uninstall and reinstall on steam. After this I downgraded from 1.8 to 1.7 in order to play on the ffa sky server. I had nothing changed to my config, no graphics, no controls, nothing the only thing that was changed was my name which is necessary to play cod4. I joined the ffa server then a tdm server and was greeted with this

now im not sure how I went from, a changed config to a multi hacker without being on the server for two weeks. Ive been trying to fix my config and whatever else may have made me look like I was hacking, but I am 100% sure that im not. I hope that you ban actually cheaters and not just people like me because this is getting ridiculous, Ive had to sacrifice so much of my progress just for this server and all for what.

yes that is the one. Could it be that I am running the exe directly and not through steam? I dont run it through steam because the overlay supposedly decrease your fps by a lot. Just lemme know what the issue is and ill change it, but I dont see anything that is giving me an advantage or would flag my cfg
