Beatdown Rules

Beatdown has very few rules and since you guys are there a lot, i thought i would take a moment and spell them out.

1) no cheats (obvious)
2) respect (respect of other players is demanded. ESPECIALLY if you have a clan tag) This means no insulting of others, teabagging, etc...
3) illegal names (names that have cheating hints like wallhack or lvl4.)
4) no racism
5) no Vote spam (trying to kick a player for no good reason, calling maps over and over, etc...)

That is all we expect from our players. Also, contrary to popular belief a map exploit is not an exploit on beatdown alley. If the map is made that way by the creator that's the way it is. It's a feature. Not to mention the eagle map with the train. That is totally not an exploit. It's a feature that keeps you on your toes and makes some people use goggles. If you don't have them then you must be careful. nuff said.

also, i reset rcon and ref. Right now it's just carnage, ronmexico and myself. I'm going to have to be more selective with the ref pw, since it's become increasingly obvious that it was being passed around. I've counted at least 3 players that i didn't give it to, that had it. That is not right.

anyway, thanks for playing...! cyaz!

I follow all of those rules!

Okay, cept the unspoken (written) one that says, don't give the ref password out. I did that.

I apologize for giving the ref password out.

I didn't do it to harm S*S or Beatdown(BDA) but to attempt to help.
I couldn't be online at that time, when I have the password out, and at that exact time, there was a hacker, and several TK's.

Actually, as of late Beatdown has been plumb full of hacks, tk;s and general unwanted riff raff, not to mention that ref has issues.

Only being able to kick someone repeatedly (Continually) is not always enough. Add to that the one person with ref has to leave, I didn't think it was fair that everyone had to suffer for it.

As for ref. I've googled the science project, and came back with a lot of "garden variety" errors, as if Tom from myspace invented it or something.

As for the current issues though, things like /ref ban player minutes, simply times out the entire server for several seconds, basically just lagging everyone out with a temporary disconnect. No one gets banned.

As for an example of server issue. I don't know how it happens, but it isn't just on beatdown. Several times I see players with FFA White names. Other times, but far more rare, I see someone on the opposing teams name, as if they were on my team.

I guess I should have broken this up into two different posts, but the memories were all in one little mental unit, lol.

Hi bro,

Yeah, that is a good procedure. I support your actions and I will communicate them to the entire clan. Sorry for any misunderstanding, and for any bad action. I know an apology is not enough but it helps a lot .

And bro, you know we love and respect Beatdown Alley IV and we will continue doing that. And we also admire you and ron. Carnage also, but he is more like a mad uncle... sometimes good, sometimes mad. Hehehe, kidding.

Bye bro,

Since S*S members are respected and trusted within Beatdown Alley, can uncreative_name give the ref/rcon password to the clan?

Actually, the S*S isn't trusted anymore. Trust has to be earned, not assumed. Maybe later. This doesn't necessarily mean trust as in the password but there are proven cheat users among S*S as well. If there's one thing I despise is cheaters.

[S*S]-VaSkO(ES) Has used wall and aim hacks multiple times.
[S*S]ShAmUkO|MX Has used wallhacks several times and other people on his network are using them too.
[S*S]-The_killer_(ES) Has been using wallhacks A LOT recently
[S*S]-Sever(BR) Continuously vote spams, teamkills and is disrespectful to other players.

first question: yes.

second: i didn't ban the ip range until i caught someone cheating again, from your network. It was the second time i've observed cheaters from your ip. That day you were on the server and i told you that i had just banned your ip range because of someone on your network. I also told you about the demo i've seen of you cheating, you agreed. Now you act surprised? I appreciated the honesty on the server, that goes a long way for me.

Your right, it isn't fair, but if i have to block 20 players to stop one cheater, i will.

Now I've received an email stating that you guys found the cheater on your network on another floor, and you have blocked him from urban terror. That's funny. Please, explain the exact process that was used to block one computer on a network from urban terror and I'll retort with a simple loop around it.

i'm going to lift the global ban for the last time, today. This is very uncharacteristic of me. I usually just permaban and that's it.

but, if i see another cheater with that ip, i'll ban it again, and i'll ban it every time the ip changes.

cya!
