I am always willing to help fledgling mappers if i can, and to host their work for playtesting purposes. My only requirement is that the map in question be a playable beta version. This means that the mapper has tested the map at length themselves and found most/all the silly bugs (u spawn in a wall... etc)
It takes me some work to load a map to the servers, add it to all the config/info files it needs to go into, and upload it to the webserver for public download... it really sucks when i do all that and the map is unplayable! however, it is impossible for a mapper to completely test a map without other players... for this reason i do not mind hostind multiple beta versions while we work out the details to make for a stronger map. if u are looking for some good mapping resources, i would look here: happy mapping!! ![]() |

anyone know how to add water?
I keep doing it, but when I test it... It like copies everything I see. But when I dive in, it looks great, the surface is bad. Any help here? I've looked at every youtube tutorial, and multiple water guides, but no help. Some people say I have a "leak"? What does that mean? It has a floor and sides, so there are no open areas. Also, something weird is going on, because when I click anywhere on this page it directs me to that url? Edit, its fixed nvm.

thanks Lynxz, that link worked, except when you are applying the water, try and find a water that is gray. And once you have it, don't hit apply. But right-click on the surface that you want it on. Then follow everything else exactly.
Also, the water is on Part 2 of Chapter 4 |
