OK I have deleted the 2 users iceband and iceband1 from the temp database. You will have to goto your email and add email address info@ycvgdc.com in the safe list. Then try again. Due to the merge of PhpNuke and phpbb (Forum section) I can't add users manually since they both have their own user database and hashes password differently.

If you are having too much problem with this then I can register and give you the password and you can change your email from the My Info section.

Saimon,

I've had TONS of problem with past versions of PHPNuke not sending out activation emails. Sometimes it isn't a matter of a spam filter on the recipients side. Sometimes it is, but often the site just flat out won't send emails.

On previous installs I had to add in an activation module to manually activate people's accounts.

As you said... bugs abound in PHPNuke. That's why I chose that Extreme integrated version. They added in a bunch of practical modules and then crossed checked them all for compatibility, fixed broken stuff, etc.

Works great... and really it isn't too hard to migrate over. I was running a vanilla Nuke site and just basically installed the new site, had a script to change some PHP DB table names and secured all the old data like nothing ever happened.

Good luck!

I'll go try to register and see what happens.

The PHPNuke I am using is 8.0 with phpBB version 2.0.20
The PHPNuke Evolution Xtreme is from PHPNuke 7.6 phpBB 2.0.7
Even it I try to upgrade its impossible sine Evolution-Xtreme Version supports up to 7.6
The only way to do this is by wiping out everything and redoing the site with a lower version and I don't have time for that.

Also the new PHPNuke version 8 is designed to stop a huge security leak that existed in previous version of PHPNuke 7.x and below.

Version 8.0:
Security bugfix and maintainance release. Fixed typos, made some improvements, closed a security hole in the section on How to include a HTML file and its links (thanks to waraxe for this, see http://www.waraxe.us), closed the same security hole in the PHP-Nuke module version of this document, added code for keycaps, applications, acronyms and product names in the CSS and some enhancements in jadetex.cfg.

So far these two Russian websites are already trying to hack in and failed so far (http://www.energetic-news.ru, http://gm-tis.ru).

I can just manually add the modules that Evolution-Xtreme Version uses and go from there.

I hear ya. But just because 8.0 is a higher version doesn't necessarily mean it is a more secure version. Extreme uses 7.6 because it is stable, but they augment it by personally closing the security holes in vanilla Nuke and then adding in some anti-hacking and security modules.

Also, I think the data would not get lost just because of the version. PHP tables are PHP tables and as long as they are mapped over properly the data will still be there regardless of the Nuke GUI version.

But, I'm not a Evo salesman, just a satisfied customer!

If you need some help, I've set up and administered my own Nuke site for about 10 years now. Just holler and I'll help you out!

OK...

So I registered on the new site, but have not received an activation email yet. It's been maybe an hour so far. I've got the site white listed and there's nothing in my junk email.

I'll try tomorrow to register using my private domain and see if that works or not.

Hi!

I registered 3 times with 3 different email accounts and whitelisted the site every time. I haven't received an activation email on any of the 3 accounts.

Can you manually activate my account or what do I need to do?

Can you just add a new account for "Diabolikul" and then send me a temp password?

Thanks!

I still do not have access to the new website.

THis is very frustrating. I'm getting yelled at for posting on THIS site and yelled at to use the NEW site, but I can not get access to the NEW site.

I give up...
