What is L9?

L9 aka Low 9 was a group that was created by RatIRL and Obsess. The inspiration behind the name was Hail9 who is a famous streamer on Twitch. Since there was no luck in finding any other name, Obsess chose to go with L9 and this is where the beginning of this movement took place. Initially, it was not meant to be a group. But after the conversation between RatIPL, Obsess and a close friend, they decided to make a club where they will be trolling other users. One of the reasons this group was created to gain popularity on twitter.

To gain recognition was difficult at that time for solo-Q players. Instead of being the creator of the group, Rat and Obsess say that they both were not completely responsible for the popularity and the tag that was placed on L9. There were many people who created a bad image of the group which ended up making this club more popular as it started coming under the spotlight.

Reputation of L9

Someone who has played or is a lover of League of legend would not say anything positive about L9 so you are most likely to have negative comments coming on the way. The members of L9, who were connected with L9 were actually good yet can be seen spamming pings, symbols and ban evading. But not every member of the group L9 likes to get indulged in the activities that are attached to the group’s reputation. In fact, why any other member, Obsess himself has never held lobbies hostage or has not indulged in any kind of destructive or toxic activities.

There are many users of the group who boost accounts and in fact those who are professional players like Obsess and RatIRL. It is obvious that for something popular there will be fans who are associated with it and L9 wasn’t an exception. Because of this increase in Popularity and decrease in the activity of L9 members, most users having L9 in their name are trolls who want to be toxic. There is a great misconception and that is, people confuse L9 with LOL boosting. The name was replicated to attract the customers because of its popularity and fame.

Twitter backlash

Clearly, the club L9 is not the most loved one in the world of the league that’s why it has faced a lot of criticism by countless streamers and of course, the League players. In fact, the player called Dekar 173 said that people who watch RatIRL and Ap0 are human garbage and anyone who supports them should post their retable symbols who that they can be banned by Dekar from the chat. This turned into a backlash as RatIRL tweeted back at the user and attacked him for the server he plays on and the numbers of viewers present on the stream.
