According to Capcom, creating a Nintendo Switch port of Monster Hunter World would be a difficult task. Because the Switch offers such different capabilities to its players when compared to PS4, Xbox One, and PC (e.g. the Switch is portable and has built-in motion controls) it would be difficult for Capcom’s development team to make the necessary adaptations. Even so, Capcom did not rule out a Switch version of the game altogether despite the technical challenges. One development studio that seems more than willing to handle the Monster Hunter World porting duties is Iron Galaxy Studios. Adam Boyes, the CEO for the developer, took to Twitter to implore Capcom to consider hiring Iron Galaxy for the job. “We understand that porting the game to Nintendo Switch is challenging,” wrote Boyes, “but this is exactly what [Iron Galaxy Studios] does.” Boyes closed out the tweet by saying that Iron Galaxy won’t let Capcom down should the company “give us a shot.” It should be noted that from 2007 to 2010, Boyes served as Capcom’s director of production.
