Mutators

So I have been running a mutator called "UnlaggedInstaGib" since we all started playing. It's supposed to act like zero ping. I know people were saying there pings were going a little crazy last Sunday so I am curious..how laggy was it for you or any of you for that matter. I may take that mutator off to see how things feel.

Also I have not messed around with the tick rate at all..it's standard, just so ya all know.

Wasn't terribly laggy. Want to try a night without to compare?

Forgot about the tick rate also...I know my ping was iffy at times...I usually fared much better on the NY servers when we played before, but not as good this time around...I started off around 72-80, which is fine, but ended up in the mid 120s...

If it was just me, then that's the way it goes...I'd be interested in removing the Unlagged mutator and possibly upping the ante ever so slightly on the tick to see what happens...

I said before if my ping is high but the server is full, that's a favorable trade...I never had any lag, just noticed I was way off on my shots...That's turrible...

Didn't there used to be a bug where 135 speed caused some kind of lag problem? I thought I remembered we used to use 137 speed because of that.

Well, as I mentioned to some as to why my ping was reaching 160 at times, my connection was crapping out at some nlayer.net routers...The details below are from just a few moments ago...Earlier tonight, hops 7-13 were anywhere from 90-120ms with some good ol packet loss, to boot...

I did send them an email; a nice one, for now...

Tracing route to 66.55.154.38.choopa.net [66.55.154.38]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

Well, that's awesome...I'm getting the same problem now...It appears, and I'm sure Cypher is in the same situation as we both had pings in the 150+ range while playing last night, we are going from Charlotte to Wichita, KS to Chicago to New York...That makes sense, right? D'oh...

I asked to have my path redirected...Who knows when that will happen but I've been bugging the Hell out of nlayer.net for the past 2 days...

Before, I would go from Charlotte to Washington, DC to New York...Now I'm getting directed to the middle of the country in order to come back to the East Coast...Somebody's ass could get whooped over this...

OMG, the rant goes on...I dug a little deeper...They wanted trace routes to other locations...Fine, I did a trace to Atlanta...Guess what?...I go from Charlotte to Kansas to Chicago to Atlanta...WTF?...The only server that shows a proper route is, wait for it, Chicago...That's because every damn path goes from Kansas to Chicago to wherever...

So I have a NOC ticket in...We'll see what happens...Even worse, I had to explain to the rep how to do it...

Well, then...It appears the router I, and probably Cypher, hit coming out of Charlotte appears to be faulty...Hence, why we are being routed to Kansas...TWC called and told me the problem was on their end and they are cleaning up the mess...I was told a 2 day time line before routing goes back to normal and I can get my 60 ping back to NYC...

Heathens, beware !!

Flaw, I don't understand any of those words. But if you'd like me to trace my route to verify if I'm having it too. Ill be glad to, after you show me how.
