The release date is closing in, and Black Ops isn't too far away. Being so close to release, we're receiving more and more concerning gameplay, and various modes within the game. IGN has released an in-depth look into the multiplayer teaser trailer. If you haven't taken the time to do so, IGN points out some of the interesting aspects of the trailer. Here's a list of some things they found:
- Customizable targeting reticules. The reticule shown in the video is that of a smiley face. - Camera spike. It provides surveillance, and gives users a PiP look at whatever the camera is pointing at. It looks as though this could provide players with many strategic uses. - For a 3 Kill streak, users will get a remote control car. It will allow users to take control of the car and sneak up on people, providing a healthy explosion. - The multiplayer map being show, shows a rocket launching. The IGN editors believe it to be a part of the campaign mode. - The ballistic knife allows a player to 'shoot' a knife across the air. This could provide many stealth based players a silent means to down others. - Players will be given a new move to pull off. There's a dive motion which looks to allow players to go into prone more swiftly. - Stick grenades!! - One of the kill streak bonuses will be a line of napalm to drop in on enemies. - A full reveal of the multiplayer trailer will be available September 1st. - The replay editor will allow players to change camera angles, and edit transitions. Screenshots can be taken as well. Clips will uploaded somewhere, but there is no confirmation where players will be able to upload to. All and all, I was pretty impressed with the bit of teaser footage shown. As with the previous Treyarch releases, I was skeptical going into Black Ops. What was shown in the teaser helped to alleviate some of the worry, as it looked highly cinematic and provided some interesting additions through gameplay tweaks, and the replay editor. |
