About Us

Foundation
XII was formally founded in January of 2007. We founded it with the idea with the right set of members and the right layout there was no reason we couldn't be a successful gaming group.

History
Some of our individual roots extend back much further than XII formal founding. Most of our players have even been playing side by side for many years and some since as early as 2001. This unity and familiarity enabled us to form the core very quickly. In fact, it was almost overnight from a idea into reality.

Philosophy
None of us were really big on the Top Down idea. Almost every gaming organization out there runs with a hieracrchy, and to tell the truth, we just are not impressed with any of them. With the long history of the initial core members we were able to structure the [show more] entire clan around the idea of Self Efficiency. Sure there is a structure, but each one of our members knows they have a say and that their opinions are valued. We have Clan Administrators; those that choose to take on or have historically been involved with certain areas of management. Their individual expertise ensures that group operations are taken care of without worry. When a new need arises, someone simply takes responsibility for it that is qualified. We have managed to to maintain this utopian structure for several years now and with our continued strict recruitment qualifications / process, we see no reason it will ever change.

Certain political and business models applied to our internal rule sets keep everything in line without strict supervision and allows for a great amount of individual freedom over what other similar organizations can offer. The loyalty of our members to each other also provides us with a firm future. The people you know today you probably very well will know over the next decade or two. We view this as rare to an extent and are ever grateful of our position here. All in all, we feel very strongly about our clan.

Respect for Real Life Commitments
One of the ways we went about bringing these concepts into action was the initial recruitment goals of the clan. This was to bring in players who had family, jobs and other outside goals. Mature players who's ability in game was matched by ability in their daily lives. Players who understand what commitment is and who know how to pitch in when it is called for without being asked. With that philosohpy in mind, XII started to obtain players of exemplary talent and diverse origins. We like to look for members that have excelled in their other commitments and have ended up bringing these talents into our approach to competitive gaming as well.

Pride & Excellence
XII prides ourselves on our excellence, not only within this clan but, with our lives in general. XII’s players understand that their goal here is to promote good conduct, a professional atmosphere and to help each other out when a situation calls for one of our particular abilities. Not just run around in a game and "show up" when asked.

Who We Are
XII is not just a clan, or a guild, but a real-life community with family that cares about each other. A community who's talents are not wasted among their brethren but put to use, and admired. For this reason, you may want to think about your commitment to us if you feel you might want to join. It is not to be taken lightly and the requirements are very high.

That will never change.

In doing so we will never have to change significantly as a organization, but we will evolve. So in that regard, if you are looking for stability, continuity and just some place to hang out with well rounded individuals without the general BS associated with a lot of on-line communities; you found it. We want you to have fun, get to know the guys/gals and if you feel you are cut out for it and meet the recruitment qualifications, join up. Become part of our little corner of the world and help to build and further develop the community spirit and bond that is The Twelfth.
