Hello, I have searched through all the threads and cant find this problem so im creating a new one:
I have installed Quake 3 on my pc and then GT lite, Q3 works perfectly and can join other servers, but when using GT lite I cant even launch the game from it, and it shows at my games list, also when I search the site for servers and click to add servers it doesnt add servers on my account or on gt lite, I tried to sync gt lite but it does nothing?

please help all my specs is on my profile, dont think the game or program could be to demanding for my pc, mabe the os support?

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with GT Lite.

Based on your description, it sounds like you may have several issues going on here.

Can you provide more information so that I can further assist you? What I would find useful is:

1. GT Lite version number. This is located on "Help->About". This number will read similar to "1.2.0". Please state the actual version number.
2. For Q3: How you got the game you are having issues with (Retail, Steam, other please specify).
3. For Q3: If you are able to find it, the version of the game you are having issues with.
4. For Q3: Did GT Lite autodetect the installation, or did you manually add it through the "Add Game" window?
5. Does launching any games from your GT Lite games list work?
6. Can you launch any games through the "Join" links on the GameTracker.com server search pages?

Please note, when you add a server to your profile on GameTracker.com, GT Lite does not automatically update. You have to use the "Download and Merge Servers..." option from the sync menu in GT Lite. If that did not work, can you provide a link to the server on GameTracker.com?

Hi maul
1. client version = 1.3.3 32 bit (if there is 64 bit i would like to have it)
2. Retail, i hate steam
3. LOL i cant seem to find the version anywhere, in the main menu it shows 1999-2008 if that helps, and i have updated it recently, so it should be the newest version there is but im not sure which it is.
4. I add it manualy as it is a installation i had like 5 formats back, just keep baking it up haha, its a mess to install all from the beginning(mods and stuff).
5. the other games launch fine like tiger woods Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08
but that one i installed after the new format, haha seems like the cracked games work better like always.
6. nope that doesn't work at all, i use fire fox and I told fire fox to use gt lite as default for gt links

I did this i tried all links there probably is, lol not really all but a lot of them.

I just tried to sync again, I got a bit further haha, now I get an error, "An error occurred while trying to synchronize your favorite servers."

is it supposed to add to your favorites if you click on a link (join)
because there's nothing in my favorites and i have clicked like on 50 servers, i don't get an error or anything when clicking on it, only if i click on other games that i don't have, obviously because i don't have them, so it actually knows I have quake, this means that the site and my gt lite can communicate yeah!

hahahahaha wait! i figured it out! it works now, 1 little mistake caused all of that!

when i added the game to my games list I specified that the game is acquired by any instead of retail, i thought it would recognize that it is retail by itself haha, now i re added the game as retail only and whala it works perfectly, now if i click on gt links it opens the game and goes to server awesome!

ok now just one more problem still the server thing in gt lite, i still cant add servers there?
when i clicked on a quake server and it launched but its still not in my server list, how do i add it there?
I also tried adding it to my favorites it adds in my profile on the site but not gt lite.

Ok and now it seems like I have a new problem, now gt lite wont sign me in, it says that I must make sure I have an internet connection? and I have.

I'm glad to hear that you have resolved the quake3 launch issue. I will submit this information to the dev team so that we can test with quake3 retail before the next major release.

As far as the server list goes, your GT Lite server list is independent from the GameTracker.com server list. You can add servers to GT Lite manually through the "GT Lite Settings" window under the "Servers" tab. Since the two lists are independent from each other (GameTracker.com has different rules about favorite servers than GT Lite), we offer a sync feature. This is located on the "Servers" tab of the main GT Lite window. The sync feature allows you to download your current favorite servers from GameTracker.com (to GT Lite), or upload your favorite servers from GT Lite (to GameTracker.com).

ok i tried all the trouble shooting and still I get the same, what is weird though is that it worked before i dont restart my pc often maybe once a week max, but this morning I had to restart an after that it doesnt work i tried reinstalling it, all my firewalls is of (router, windows and eset) and still the same. is there maybe another version you can recommend?

lol wait I found a work around.
all i have to do to log in is to:
open the gt lite, it will give the same error of no internet connection..
then go to gametracker.com and select a link of a server, it will give an error stating that it will be processed when logged in to gt lite, it will also automatically bring up the log in window(witch also usually didn't work but thanks to the link that is trying to process something it opens up the gt lite and logs you in haha yeah!
ok thanks for the help all is well now, for some reason it sync with the server as well haha, my favorite is added

I'm glad to hear that you have things working. GT Lite shouldn't require workarounds to operate normally. If you get some free time and would like to post a screenshot of the error message that you were originally receiving, I would like to help further diagnose the issue.
