When trying to connect to sign-on to GameTracker server with GameTracker Lite I get the following error:

Unable to communicate with the GT Lite in-game service.
please try again shortly or contact the GT Lite support team for further assistance.

It worked before.
I tried to reinstall without success.
I'm on a Intel Mac (OS 10.6.8).

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you are encountering an "in-game service" error. Typically these are caused by errors during installation.

Thank you for posting the error description and your OS version.

I would suggest the following.

1. Shut down GT Lite.
2. Delete the "/Applications/GameTracker" folder (or drag it to the trash).
3. Wait 60 seconds.
4. Reboot your Mac.
5. Visit our downloads page: http://www.gametracker.com/downloads/
6. Re-download and install GT Lite.

Let me know if you have further issues.

Hello again,

I'm sorry to hear that you are still experiencing this issue.

For further assistance, would you be able to post the log files generated by GT Lite? I may be able to find some information within your logs that can help resolve the issue. On the main GT Lite window, there is a menu option that states "Zip log files". This menu item is located under "Help -> Debug".

This forum does not allow attachments, but websites such as http://www.fileswap.com make it easy to share files!

Hello again,

Thanks for your patience with this, and for posting a screenshot.

GT Lite changes the top menu bar based on which window is active.

Based on your screenshot, try the following:

1. Close the "Unable to communicate..." popup.
2. Close the "GT Lite - About" window.
3. Click anywhere on the "GameTracker Lite" sign on window.

When performing step 3, does your top menu bar change? It should resemble the menu bar from my screenshot, and you should be able to access the "Help" menu.

I tried what you said and it does not work.
If I remember well, your menu shows only if I am connected, not offline...

Hello again,

It would probably be easier to compress and upload 2 log files. The files that I would find useful are:

1. In your home directory, within the "GameTracker" folder, a file named "GameTracker.log".

2. You may not be able to access this file. In your "Macintosh HD" or "root folder", there will be a subfolder, "tmp", then another folder "GameTracker", then a file "ingameservice.log". The full file path would be "/tmp/GameTracker/ingameservice.log"

Best regards.
