Clearing through the cobwebs and tumble-weeds, here, I'm wondering if ever any GT staffer or liaison will provide some scope of where things stand.

For some time, now, it would appear, the Ventrilo Status reporting service is working, again:

To be fair, burn, I wasn't bumping the thread; someone (anyone) was kind enough to reply, and we were having a concise conversation on the matter.

I'm also unsure of what makes it so obvious that status reports, here, wouldn't be possible.

I didn't even initially think this was something I needed to request; you would have thought that, Ventrilo being one of the few main voice server solutions out, it'd be a given… hence this being posted in the wrong section, initially (Bug Reports).

Hard to imagine the system, here, is to state your "request" and GT literally has no one ever actually drop in and say anything, other than people selected to moderate their forums.

Right, well… just wanted to provide the update that the Ventrilo status reporting service was operational, again, should anyone reading this thread have been wondering, and quietly hoping that will see GT make the next move.

Development has confirmed that they have updated the scanning software to accommodate the changes in the protocol for the new version ( Ventrilo 4.0.0 ).

Our banner now displays the server as online, and, I think, the number of players is functional… however, you can no longer view the channel structure/tree of the server, to see where people are hanging out (i.e. someone could be sitting in our designated AFK section).

Hopefully, development can rectify this, so it functions as before.

Thanks, though, for this update, and it's refreshing to see them take action (whether or not this request had anything to do with it).

Hope I won't be thought a spammer for double-posting, but I felt it appropriate to mention that it would appear the banner functions properly, now.
