I know this is really nooby but for the life of me I can't figure out how to change it so when i connect to a server i show up as EvilMrTopHat

GT Lite is a tool that connects you to servers from the GT website. As far as your name appearance goes, that will depend on the game you're playing. I'd recommend looking up player customization info for the game you're trying to play. Most games allow you to set a custom name, and choose your player models.

As far as GT Lite goes, you can configure GT Lite to run custom command line arguments ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command-line_argument ) for any game, on a per server basis. I mention this because many games allow you to change your player name with command line options. You will have to search the internet for these based on the game in question. These arguments can be changed in GT Lite through: Edit Menu -> Server Setup -> Settings Window -> Servers Tab -> "Change..." (in the "Game arguments:" section).
