When someone attempts to add a TS3 server that is beta 29 or later Gametracker says the server is down. This may be cause by an update in the beta 29 code. Below is a quote from Peter, a dev, over at the TS3 official forums
"Hi there, We are in beta, things change. Gametracker needs to update their code if it fails due to the new welcome message (probably a 1 line change that can be done in < 5mins). They will do so quickly unless their project is dead anyhow, so take a chill pill guys. The new welcome message is a good thing as it instructs you on how to use the query interface. Making the welcome message configurable is a bad idea and would just result in a more complicated interface for any future server query scripts (as you cannot know if you'll get the welcome message or not)." |

This issue has been going on longer than beta 29. I started having the issue with my servers since beta 27!! That was more than a month ago. Please fix this issue. Currently my server shows as being down according to gametracker, but there are 4 of us in the server right now.

GT TS3 display is also not correct. Shows server is down even when it is up, running and full.

tw-buttons wrote: I have to disagree. It just happend since Beta Server 29, not before. If it was before, there was something not right with your Server (IP blocked etc.) when there was no Server Status shown. Officially this occured after the update to Beta 29 (Server). |

ok, then why was it not only my server that had the issue? Couple of our clan affiliates have had the same issue. These servers are in different parts of the country and all with different companies. Before it was able to be temporarily corrected by restarting the server. Now it doesn't work at all. It was just an intermittent problem. Now it's constant.

tw-buttons wrote: I can't tell you that but I would imagine it had to do with the hosters as well and their Servers. I am running a TS3 Server now for a while on my own vServer and I haven't had any Status issues for many Server Versions. Just lately it was all screwed up, from Beta 29. Did you or your friends had rented TS3 Servers, which still might have to do with the companies hosting the Servers when certain things don't work properly, or did they had control over the actual Server Machine or vServer, or just the TS3 Server ? These are the things that make all these settle differences. I once, in the beginning of TS3, also rented just a TS3 Server and the limitations one has are partwise frustrating. Hosting it yourself is the only way to be free of that more less. But this would be a little too off-topic now. Back to the issue now since Beta 29, I also saw that the Status Script from Instantteamspeak.com has the same issue since the latest Server Version. Their Support told me that they are trying to get around the current issues and hope to have their Status working again at the end of the week. |
